I would never stop telling him.
Closing my eyes, I sighed into his touch as he rinsed my hair and then put some conditioner in it. It felt nice to just let King take care of me. It wasn’t until my mind began to wander that my eyes snapped open and my heart skipped a beat.
“King…” I looked up at him. “We didn’t talk about protection at all.”
King’s eyes flashed with something much darker than usual and really hot before he shrugged. “What do you want to talk about, princess? I know you’re on the pill.”
I swallowed, wanting the next part to not even apply to our situation, but considering I had never confirmed it, I figured it was as good of time as ever. I was never going to want to have this conversation.
“But if you’ve been with someone else…”
I let out a squeak as I was suddenly being backed into the shower wall, his energy turning much more dangerous than moments before, the tension between us growing.
“You think I’ve been with someone else?” It was nearly accusatory, as if he couldn’t believe I had actually stated that.
“I didn’t want to assume,” I breathed out.
His hand slid around my throat, gentle and seemingly a reassurance to himself. “Dahlia, I told you I’ve been in love with you since I could fucking walk. Why would I ever be with someone else? The concept of being with any woman besides you is abhorrent.”
Oh.
My eyes widened. “So that was your first time also?”
A rumble left his throat as he offered a nod, his other hand running down my waist and across my center, which was now exploding with heat. I whimpered as he circled my clit, his touch gentle on the swollen and sore flesh from his absolutely pounding pace from before. It didn’t stop my climax from growing as I flushed, my pulse exploding and breathing growing rapid.
A moan left my throat as he trailed kisses down my neck, his bite against my pulse causing me to jump as a small orgasm rocked through me, making my knees go weak and my eyes close in relief. Kingston Ross was more dangerous than ever. This man should not have this much control over my body.
“More so,” he growled softly against my lips as I stared at him in a post-orgasmic daze, “I don’t ever want anything between us, Dahlia. I love the feeling of your tight little cunt wrapped around me, and coming inside of you is a goddamn euphoric experience. So no, we didn’t talk about protection because we didn’t need to. I understand why you’re on birth control, but I would be fucking thrilled if you decided to go off that—”
My hand covered his sculpted lips as I squeaked, my eyes flying open. “King, what the heck?”
“It’s true,” he said through my attempt at silencing him as he pulled my hand away, kissing the top of it softly. “I hate the idea of anything between us.”
“Yes, but I could get pregnant.”
His eyes flashed dark again, a small smile playing on his lips. “Like I said, fucking thrilled if you decided to go off that.”
I blinked, processing his words as he turned off the shower and grabbed a towel, ushering me forward as I stared at the absolute psycho. Yes, I realized that this was an odd thing to finally realize he was crazy in regards to, butcome on.
“Your expression is adorable,” he admitted softly, amusement filtering in.
“You just said you want me to get pregnant, essentially,” I pointed out, my eyes wide and expression probably a mixture of shock and confusion.
King nodded and echoed a sound of agreement while leading me back into his room. I crossed my arms and pinned him with a look, ignoring how his statement made me feel.
“King, you can’t just say that.”
The man pulled on a pair of boxers, rolling his shoulders back and flashing me a smile. “I’m not sure why this is surprising to you, princess. It’s not like I’ve ever viewed us as anything but extremely serious. You’re just privy to my thoughts about it now.”
“I have no idea how any of this is going to work,” I sighed, looking skyward at his high ceilings. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any answers up there.
“Come on, get dressed.” He flashed a smile. “You’re overcomplicating this in your head, I can tell.”
“I am attempting to date six men, and you just said you would be cool with knocking me up, but I’m overcomplicating this?” I sputtered.
“Not attempting, youaredating six men, although that doesn’t sound like the right word.” He frowned and then shrugged. “No matter.” Then his expression changed to a smile. “Dermot will be thrilled to know you included him in that.”
I blushed and narrowed my eyes, grabbing my dress from the bed and going towards the bathroom, leaving the door open. I let out a huff, finding this version of King extremely attractive and a bit frustrating. He just said all of this so matter of fact, as if he wasn’t acting crazy!
