Epilogue Two
Vitaly
5 Years Later
Imake my way through the house and out the back when I hear the squeals and laughter. Standing at the patio doors, I watch my beautiful wife play with our children. We’ve been married since a week after she told me she was pregnant with our first child. She wanted to wait, but I wasn’t going to have my child born out of wedlock…and I wanted the world and the Bratva to know she was mine.
Our son, Grigori, is four and thinks he’s mama’s little protector. He’s a spitting image of me, even down to the fact he had to have the same hairstyle as me. Ana calls him my mini-me. We both have already started teaching him how to fight and defend himself. As the heir to the Bocharov Bratva, he will be expected to be tougher than most kids his age. He already tries to push his way into her office and demand she take a break. Most of the time it’s to come play with him and his two-year-old sister, Nadya. Nadya is the spitting image of her mother with her dark hair and ice blue eyes. And like her mother, she has me wrapped around her finger with just a smile.
The kids squeal again and run away from Ana as she spins around with her eyes closed. She’s currently over eight months pregnant with our third child. She swears this is the last one, but I love seeing her pregnant with my children. Her body slightly rounded and honed to the killing machine that she used to be. She still pulls out her knives and fights when she needs to, but if I’m around, I end them for her. Her Brigadiers respect her and come to her defense too as needed. We haven’t had to fight in a while, except each other. It still turns her on to spar with me.
Watching them play and hearing her laughter, I realize this is her empire right here. Not the Bratva, but her family. She leads and protects us all. She’s taught me what family and belonging are. Every day she tells me she loves me as well as our children. I’m no longer a monster. I have my family. My purpose in life. Her empire is mine too.
The End!
