I have never been happier that Bell gave me the idea of putting that damn tracker on their phones. I hate that I didn’t think to check it regularly. I might have noticed that she wasn’t on campus, we might have found her before anything bad happened. I was fucking stupid…
“Stop that.” Her voice cuts my worrying, and I break away from Raven to go clutch her hand.
“Zoe…”
“There is nothing more you could have done. You saved me from being in that apartment any longer than I had to be. I couldn’t stop panicking and Noah was getting irate. I can only imagine what he would have done to shut me up if the guys hadn’t have gotten there when they did.”
“You remember?” If she cant tell me who this was I can have the guys pick them up and it will end tonight, no one else would be hurt.
“Not everything. I remember Noah coming into the coffee shop and telling me that Caleb needed me for some president shit, but when we got to the house, no one was there. He got me a glass of water and I don’t remember anything until I came to on the bathroom floor of that apartment.”
“How many?” I know she said she doesn’t remember but she might know that.
“Your… associate had us rush the DNA test. From what we got it looks like 4. Without DNA to compare it to we can’t know who.” The doctor supplies as she finishes up.
“Okay. We are going to get something for you to apply after the stitches dissolve. I am not a plastics fellow so you will have scars but everyone for that department is a male and the girl you came in with said no men,” Zoe cuts her off with a wave of her hand.
“I don’t mind the scars. Thank you for accommodating.” She leaves and it’s just the two of us and Top in the room. “Hollow?”
“He is in the hall; I can get him.” I start to pull away and she stops me.
“Can you give us a minute?” She asks Top, he moves toward her and she cringes, tears welling up in her eyes at his proximity. His eyes soften and he blows her a kiss, pulling the door shut behind him.
“I am going to kill them.”
“Don’t. I did the rape kit, and I would like to see if the police do their job. At least give them a chance.”
“Zoe, if I find out who it was first, I will not hold back.” There are a lot of things that I would do at her request but letting the screwed-up justice system try to do anything right, isn’t going to be one of them. I am willing to do a lot of things for her but I won’t let her live with this trauma and not avenge it.
“Finley, I need you to do something for me.”
“Anything. Literally anything in the world. What do you need?”
Zoe touches her cheek with the tips of her fingers, just below where the stitches are, and after a few breaths, looks at me with determination flooding through her.
“It hasn’t hit me completely yet, but this is going to fuck me up. Something fierce. I don’t know how bad it is going to get but right now, even though I know they would never hurt me, I can’t stand the thought of anyone besides you or Raven touching me.”
“The guys will understand Zoe. You just went through something terrible.” I don’t expect my words to help her, but I say them anyways.
“I need them to understand.” Just by the tone of her voice and the way that she was acting before she said anything I know what she is talking about, she might as well have ripped my heart from my chest.
“Completely?”
“Yes, I need them to know, but I can’t tell them. It hurts to even think about it right now.” My stomach knots like it did at the apartment, but luckily there is nothing in it for me to throw up.
“Okay.”

“Raven, come sit with her please,” I push the door open feeling like there are blocks of concrete on my feet. She questions with her eyes but moves past me and into the room anyways, as far as I know, Raven doesn’t know about Zoe’s past, I don’t think anyone else does.
“Scar, Bell, stay outside this door. I don’t want anyone going in there that isn’t me.”
“Yes, ma’am.” I pause to kiss them both, but I linger between the two of them a little longer, hoping that they will help me settle my stomach and strengthen my resolve.
“Pyro, I need you to come with me. Top, Hollow, we need to talk.” The group of people outside her door part for me, and at the back of the crowd is Tough.
