"May. Good to see you here."

"Hey, Kerry," May said.

Kerry turned to the other FBI agents. "This is my sister, May Moore. She's the county deputy, and will be working with us on this case. May, meet the rest of the team. Adams you know. My other colleagues are Special Agent Ted Billings and Special Agent Robert Chris, and Senior Special Agent Keith Ross is also on the scene for now, just to manage the initial steps of our investigation."

"Pleased to meet you," May shook hands with them. They were very similar to Adams. Definitely the same stamp of individual. Billings and Chris were both in their late twenties or early thirties, both with close-cropped dark hair and focused, determined expressions. Keith Ross looked to be in his forties, with a shaven head and piercing, ice-blue eyes.

The group of them stood in silence for a moment, looking down at the scene of devastation.

"The area is still not declared safe," May said, remembering Jack's warning. "It'll be another half-hour or so still."

"That's okay," Kerry said. "We had a glance down as we flew over when arriving. It's unlikely there will be any useful trace evidence that investigators can pick up, after a bomb blast of that magnitude."

"Exactly," Ross added. "It'll be up to the bomb squad to analyze the type and origin of the explosives used, which will hopefully be helpful to us. So we'll have to wait on their findings."

"Hopefully, we'll get results soon," Ted Billings emphasized.

"That's not where we need to focus now," Kerry told her.

"Where do we need to focus?" May asked.

"We're dealing with a very dangerous serial killer," Kerry said. "Perhaps one of the most dangerous we've ever seen. He's escalating, and he's also becoming increasingly bold, brazen, and ruthless. He's a cold-blooded murderer, who will keep killing and killing, until we find him. If we are going to stop this guy, we need to move fast, and work as a team."

"Agreed," Adams said firmly.

"Who is the killer?" May asked, feeling concerned. Had he detonated this type of explosive blast before?

If that was the case, then most probably he had not died at the scene and was still at large, and perhaps even in her area of jurisdiction.

The thought gave her chills, but she knew that was what it took to be county deputy. Terrifying as it was to have a killer like this at large, she was going to do whatever it took to catch him.

But first, she needed to learn more about the background.

"We'll explain all that to you. Let's get started with the briefing. I suggest we go to the Sunnybrook police department. We can use the briefing room down there, and I'll explain more about who he is and what he's done so far" Kerry decided. "We'll ride with you."
