I unseal the fresh bottle of vodka. Relishing in the fact that I feel nothing as the familiar smooth liquid slides down my throat.

“Whoa, C, you good?”

Eli’s expression becomes more sullen the longer I drink not coming up for air. Who needed a perfect pussy like the one I just finished off upstairs when vodka never talked back? It only ever listened.

“You good man?” he asks, arching an eyebrow. Was I? I should be feeling fantastic. Booze would always taste better than soda.

I ignore him again; he was another issue when it came to Rory, I wasn’t willing to entertain tonight either.

Pulling the bottle away from my mouth, my expression turns malicious. Huh, already half empty. Maybe she had, gotten to me after all. Soon though Rory and herwords, would be forgotten altogether.

Her moans, on the other hand, were something that could stay sated in my brain for a while. Yeah, that shit, I wouldn’t be forgetting anytime soon.

My grip tightens around the neck of the bottle. I was losing my god-damned mind over here. She all but spelled out that she wasn’t okay with doing what we’d done again without a clear guideline as to what we were.

Did she want a label because I don’t do fucking labels. Not today, not tomorrow. Notever.

Even now, I am tempted to head back up there and make her scream for me again. With how well her body reacted to mine I had a feeling she could be persuaded into it too. We didn’t have to say anything, only mess around some more.

I grimace. Princess was too stubborn to let that happen. Had too much self-respect.

Grabbing another bottle I take it with me, not in the mood to talk to anyone. A hard thing to come by when your me and everyone is constantly watching, waiting for you to fall.

Not that, that would ever happen. Weakness not a word in my vocabulary.

I spot Madison in the crowd, or better yet, she spots me. Coming over, she says something but all it does is make my head pound harder against my skull.

Not surprising. Madison is dressed to impress. Her heels sky-high. Dress—if you could call it that—nonexistent. Doubtful she wore underwear, she never did.

Not for me at least.

How had I managed to sleep with this chick so many times in the past was beyond me? She had nothing on Rory, and all I’d done was get her off with my fingers.

Spinning on my heel, I move deliberately fast so that she can’t keep up. She wasn’t the one who I wanted climbing into my bed tonight.

By this point, I’d finished off all the first bottle and was about three-quarters done with the second. My head was numb, and it was fantastic.

I’d denied myself this routine feeling for too long. My feet, like my vision, were a little wobbly, but that I could deal. A small side effect to voiding everything else out.

I snort out a laugh to no one. Tomorrow was going to be a bitch, but who cared. Not me, that’s for sure.

The living room, which is where I’d chosen to throw my single pity party of one. Probably the worst location since it had the most people. Everyone packed in here like sardines. Shoulder to shoulder. My brain not thinking that one all the way through but, hey here I was.

Earlier I’d spotted Finn with that girl Rory was always hanging around. He looked like he was having a good time and I was too in my own head to intrude, so I let him be.

It was surprising that he hadn’t gotten her upstairs by this point. Usually, he was already gone for the night with a random.

The edges of my mouth lift. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I wonder how Finn would react if he knew what I’d done to his sister earlier.

My grip tightens around the bottle pulling it away from my lips as my eyes find her as easily as the stars find the sky.

Rory looked fresh-faced and cleaned up, coming down the stairs. She hadn’t fixed the crimson lipstick I’d sucked off but everything else look flawless.

Shewas flawless.

Coming to a stop about halfway down, corn-fucking-pop meeting her the rest of the way. She smiles at him and my vision clouds over.

Xander asked me out.
