I smiled, kissing his lips again as exhaustion caught up to me. I could feel my eyelids flutter, and lethargy take over my limbs even though it was morning. “Seems,” I said, yawning a little, “this was just a temporary wakeup.”
“Rest, baby. We’ve still got time before we have to go.”
“But what about breakfast?” I asked even as I slipped deeper toward sleep again.
“Don’t worry, we’ll handle it when you wake up,” he said. “You don’t have to do anything.”
“Okay.” I yawned one last time, smiling. “What’ll be on the menu?”
“What would you like?”
“Everything. All the things,” I giggled.
He kissed my forehead. “Then you shall have it. Sleep, beautiful.”
