“It’s a deep artery. A tourniquet won’t even stop it. There’s only one way to keep her from dying,” Aurora said.
“Joy, you have to shift to heal this. And you have to do it now.”
“I ... I don’t ... don’t know how.”
“Let me in. I can help,” Aurora said, placing one hand on Joy’s head and the other over her heart. Calling down a stream of swirling magic, she closed her eyes and let it flow through her and into Joy.
Joy’s body writhed, and she once again felt the stretching of her muscles and bones. But it was far less traumatic than the first time. She looked down at her polar bear body when her shift was complete. Her leg was healed and clean of blood.
“Oh my God, she’s beautiful,” Aurora said.
“She is, in any form,” Adam replied.
