A gasp slipped from your lips. “But I thought I work for your dad.”

“Nope.” Stefan clicked his tongue as he stepped toward her. “Your pretty ass belongs to us. Get used to seeing me because you’ll be coming by Lucky’s weekly and then to The Monella Club to see Angelo.”

Angelo pulled a purple vibrator out of her nightstand drawer and smirked. “I wanna see how you make yourself cum with this.”

“Oh, my God.” She ripped it out of his hand. “You’re disgusting. And stop touching my things.”

I hooked my arm around her and pulled her back into my chest. “You’ll work with me at the casino.” As I brushed my lips on her earlobe, she panted like she was in heat. “And you’ll help Nico with whatever he needs.”

Her eyes went straight to Nico. “What do you do?”

He pushed off from the wall, his hands in his pockets. “I handle the legal side of our businesses.”

She laughed and then slipped from my grasp to enter the walk-in closet to grab more clothes. “Legal, what a joke?”

“Hurry in there,” I yelled. “We need to get on the road.”

She came out of the closet with another handful of clothes. “And how do you expect me to pack an entire apartment on your schedule?”

“Only bring what you need.” I closed the distance between us and grabbed the hangers from her, passing them to Nico. “The moving company will get the rest.”

She put her hands on her narrow hips and frowned. “Where am I going, bossman?”

“You’re moving into your new apartment at the Portofino.”

Black hair fell into her eyes as she shook her head. “I can go back to my dad’s house. It’s only ten minutes from the casino.”

“Not happening,” I shot back. “You won’t have banker hours. This isn’t Hoffman Stone. We need you around at all times.”

She plopped onto the bed with a sigh. “What am I going to be doing for you?”

“You’ll meet Stefan and Angelo weekly to collect the money. Then you’ll come to me, and I’ll show you how to recirculate the illegal cash.”

She narrowed her eyes at me. “Doesn’t my dad do that already?”

“Not anymore.” I folded my arms over my chest and studied her face. She was naive and would be so much fun to break. “You’re taking over that side of the business for him.”

Ava sighed. “I don’t understand why you need me.”

“Because you’re smart. And your dad can’t do this forever.” I looked over at my brothers. “He’s getting old. It’s time for him to retire.”

By force.

“Anyone can collect money,” she said with an attitude. “Why me?”

I gripped her chin, forcing her to look at me. “Why not you?”

ChapterNine

AVA

Afew hours ago, I was happy and ready to start my new life. I had so many plans for myself and the future. The new job I had killed myself for the past year to get and an apartment in Manhattan. I was so close to freedom, only for the Lucianos to take it from me.

I hated them.

Yet I got wet for Dante.

For all of those deviants.
