“You know you’re totally fucked, right?”
I sigh, finding no point in trying to deny it now. “Yeah, I know.”
This girl is a storm—a tornado ready to wreak havoc on anything in her path—and I’m addicted to her chaos.

If I thought the parties Zayn threw were a good time, this is fucking Disneyland. Everyone is in such a good mood, it’s impossible to be around them and not be happy. I don’t know who gave Asher the idea for this weekend, or if he thought of it all on his own, but it’s exactly what I needed. Plus, he gave me the one person who can manage to make anything better no matter what—my sister.
“Okay, but really,” Knox says as he levels me with a look. “Why the fuck does it not surprise me one bit that you’re dating your English teacher?”
I tilt my head to the side. “Eh, we’re not dating per se.”
Delaney laughs. “You’re living at his place, kissing him because you can, and taking trips across the country together. Call it what you want, but you’re dating.”
There’s no use in arguing with them, and besides, they have a point. However, I don’t see the need to define things between us. Titles make things complicated, and what Asher and I have is so laid back; I’d hate to ruin that over something that really doesn’t matter.
Colby comes up next to me and drapes his arm over my shoulder. “Spyro! Take a shot with me!”
He hands me a shot glass full of tequila, and the two of us throw them back. It only takes a couple minutes before Asher comes over. He puts out his hand and I take it, giggling as he pulls me out of Colby’s hold and into his own. It’s relieving to see he’s not afraid to touch me here. A part of me was afraid that he would act like we were just friends in front of the guys. Instead, he acts just as possessive and hands-on as he does at home.
“Are you having a good time?” he questions.
I arch up on my tip-toes and kiss him quickly. “The best.”
He shakes his head. “Good. You deserve to be happy.”
My cheeks pink and I smile as I nod. “I am.”
Knox slots himself next to Asher to talk football, and damn is it a pretty sight. I’ve never been one to deny that my sister’s boyfriend is hot. If I wasn’t ninety percent sure we would end up killing each other, I probably would’ve tried to get with him myself, but I’m glad I didn’t. Him and Delaney make a perfect pair. They’re totally different, with Knox being a badass and Delaney being the epitome of a good girl. Yet, somehow, they balance each other out. And I’ve never seen someone calm Knox down the way Laney can. It’s fucking magical.
A COUPLE HOURS LATER, everyone is drunk—including my sister, which doesn’t happen often. Her and Knox are all over each other in the corner of the room. I laugh and shake my head as Colby’s jaw drops, looking at me while pointing to them.
“It’s like he’s never seen two people hook up before.”
Asher chuckles. “That’s drunk Colby. He has two different drunk personalities. We’ve figured out how to decipher between the two over the years.”
My brows raise. “Okay, I’ve got to hear this.”
“Well, when he’s overly friendly and thinking everything is hilarious, that’s Colby. When he’s practically dry humping the leg of some chick and pulling her back to his room, that’s Hendrix.”
In a way, it makes sense. I’ve heard stories from both Asher and Colby himself about the thing he tends to do when he’s intoxicated and horny. I’m slightly disappointed I haven’t gotten the chance to see Hendrix in action. It sounds amusing.
“So, that’s Colby?”
He nods.
I turn and stand directly in front of him, feeling braver now that I’ve got some liquid courage. “And what about you? Do you have two different drunk personalities?”
A smile graces his gorgeous face. “That would require getting drunk. I don’t do that often anymore.”
“Shame,” I sigh. “Hawthorne could end up being my favorite.”
“Oh yeah? And why’s that?”
“Because I think he’d be fun. Less afraid to take what he wants.”
