The door slammed shutbehind me as I walked into the trailer, smiling at Carolina as she looked up briefly before turning back to her computer screen. I crossed the small room in a handful of steps, coming around the desk to kiss the top of her head.
“What’s got you so focused, babe?” Bracing myself on the edge of the desk, I leaned in for a closer look and found she was scrolling through a baby website. “Shopping?”
“Putting together a registry. My sisters want to throw me a baby shower.” She clicked on a stroller and went through the photos before scrolling down to the details.
“Isn’t this something you should go and check out in person? Test it around the store? Make sure it’s something you’d be comfortable using?”
“Yeah, but the nearest baby store is in the city. The best there is between here and Pleasant Lake are a handful of stores that carry some items, but not everything. It’s too long of a trip to go to the city just to push some strollers around a department store.”
My hand absently smoothed the hair down her back as I stared at the screen. She had a point, and what’s more, if her sisters did have a baby shower, how many people would make the trip into the city just to get an item? They’d order something themselves, and again she’d be stuck with something that maybe didn’t work for her.
“What if we went together?”
Carolina caught my gaze in the reflection of her computer screen. “To the city?”
“Sure, we’ll have a little road trip and check everything out. Maybe get a few things too.”
“Oh, I’m not ready for that. I’ve only just started saving.”
“On me,” I said firmly.
She turned in her seat to look at me in surprise. “You don’t have to do that, Owen.”
“I want to. I want to spoil you and those babies. Until now, I’ve been a single man working at my uncle’s company since I was sixteen. I saved a ton of money building my own house. I have money, and I want to take care of you, so you don’t have to stress about all this. It isn’t just a baby anymore. It’s two. That’s a big financial difference.”
That strange look she sometimes got crossed her face again, and like always, I wondered what she was thinking. She warred with herself for a few more minutes before she finally nodded her head. “Alright, if you’re sure.”
“I’m sure, I’m sure.” I grinned at her before leaning in for a kiss. “Now, as your boss, I’m going to have to punish you for inappropriate use of company time and resources.”
She grinned against my mouth, turning in her chair to face me more. “Is that so?”
“Yes, I can’t have my employees running amuck thinking they can spend their time online shopping when there’s work to be done.”
Her face fell for a moment, taking my serious tone a bit too seriously.
“Skirt off and ass on the desk, missy.” I pointed at the desk before walking around it to go and lock the trailer door. As I passed by the windows, I pulled the shades to keep any prying eyes from looking in and seeing my woman with her clothes off.
Walking back to her, I found her skirt in a pool at the foot of the desk and her panties piled on top. Grinning, I came around to face her and sunk to my knees.
“No.” She reached out, cupping my chin. “I want you inside of me.” My eyes flicked to the window and door, wondering how much time we had before someone came knocking but then again, it didn’t really matter. I was the boss, and if the office was closed, it was fucking closed.
“Anything for you, babe.” Undoing my jeans quickly, I pushed them down just enough to release my hardened length, groaning softly as she curled her fingers around it and stroked slowly.
Shifting to the edge of the desk, she pulled me closer by the dick and guided me to her. Wrapping my arm around her waist, I helped her keep her balance as I sunk into her and held it for a moment. As I paused, I kissed her neck, making my way up to her lips with sprinkles of kisses along her chin and cheek. Opening to me, our tongues slid along each other as I pulled out and thrust back into her, loving how her pussy squeezed around me like it was made only for me.
Because I was made for her.
I felt it in every inch of my body, through my bones, muscles, and nerves. Just being near her sent a zing of electricity through me that I knew could only be caused by her presence. What came before us was nothing, empty pages in a book that no one would read and, with time, would grow dusty from disuse.
This book, though, the one we were currently writing, would have softened pages from daily reads and worn edges to show how many times it had been touched. Now that I had her, there was nothing that could keep me away from her. At least, there was almost nothing.
“Oh, God, Owen!” She clamped down around me, and I pressed my forehead to hers as I kept my frantic pace, finally pushing myself to the brink as I spilled into her. The babies weren’t mine, but one day, hopefully, the next one would be.
