“I’m coming,” she muttered, her voice muffled by the bedsheets. But I could feel it as her pussy clamped around me, and her fingers tightened around the bedsheets.
“Oh, God, yes, Beau!” As she came, so did I, and I knew I never needed anything but us in my life.
Epilogue - Rose
I expected Beau to have planned a restaurant for tonight, but when his truck stopped outside the family property, I glanced at him with uncertainty. He didn’t even look at me, although he must’ve known I was staring because he smirked to himself as he parked the truck and pulled the keys out.
Pushing his door open, he climbed out and opened the back door to unfasten Silas before taking his hand and letting him hop out. It wasn’t lost on me that Silas talked more than ever since Beau's arrival in our lives. His vocabulary flourished under the love and guidance of Beau, something I knew would be just what he needed.
Undoing my seat belt, I slid it off and climbed out myself, coming around the bed of the truck to find Silas holding a blanket in his arms and Beau with a basket.
“I’m getting the impression that perhaps it wasn’t a lack of babysitters on the town’s part and maybe some evil plan of yours?”
Beau grinned before looking at Silas. “Would you like to lead the way, Little Man?”
Silas grinned proudly as he began marching away from the truck. My gaze followed for a moment before drifting back to Beau, and I lifted my eyebrow at him.
As I opened my mouth to say something, Beau spoke up. “Hurry up. You’re going to get left behind.” Beau tapped my ass as he passed me and hurried after Silas.
I remained lingering for a moment longer before kick-starting my feet and shuffling after my boys. My hand fell to my belly for a moment as I considered our growing family. As much as the idea of having a little girl was nice, there was somethingjust rightabout ‘my boys’ and if we could add one more to the family… Well, that would be perfect.
My boots crunched in the snow as I caught up to them and stopped in awe as I looked around to find fairy lights strung from the trees in a circle surrounding a clear igloo. Inside, I could see a table set for us and a heater keeping the whole thing warm.
More fairy lights were strung across the ceiling once inside, creating a romantic atmosphere.
“What’s the blanket for? I expected a picnic based on that.” Silas held it out to me as I spoke.
“For your lap, I figured you might still be cold out here since you complain a lot about the weather.”
I laughed so hard, the force of it threw my head back. “I do not complain.”
Beau chuckled. “Every single night, you complain and shove your ice block feet against my warm ass. Sorry, butt.”
Silas giggled as he pulled himself up on the chair and took a seat. “Mama, Si do this.” He waved a hand around the table and grinned at himself in pleasure.
“You did all this?” I said, gobsmacked, unable to stop the grin on my face. “It’s beautiful.”
He blew a raspberry in the air and pointed to the candles, giving Beau a sharp look. Silas nodded seriously before tucking his hands in his lap. Beau lit the candles, which didn’t give off much light compared to the fairy lights but still created a nice atmosphere. When he was finished, he unloaded the basket onto the table, displaying a curated collection of all my favorite treats from Sage River.
“This may seem like a silly question, but given it’s been six months since we met, youareplanning to stay here—right?”
I looked over at him in surprise, and I laughed. “Is that what this is? You’re trying to remind me of all the reasons I love it here?”
“Is it working?” He actually blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“It was never necessary. As long as you want me here, I’ll stay. Even if it’s forever.”
He grinned, the expression making his whole face light up before his eyes flicked to Silas, and he cleared his throat. “This is for you, Little Man.” He opened the box to his left and picked up a cupcake from Elsie’s Mudpie Bakery.
Silas dug in greedily, and I turned back to Beau with a skeptical look. “I know it’s Valentine’s Day, the chocolate holiday, but shouldn’t we have dinner before he jumps to dessert?”
Beau smiled knowingly at me before Silas interrupted us. “Bo, dis wong.” He blew a raspberry before lifting a hand to his mouth and pulling something out of it.
“No, bud, it’s just right.” He looked from Silas to me and back again. “Would it be okay with you if I married your mama, Little Man?”
I gasped, covering my mouth dramatically before my eyes flicked to Silas’ hand to find him holding onto what I knew had to be an expensive diamond ring.
“Oh, yes, peese.” Silas nodded his head in a very rehearsed manner, and Beau laughed.
“You’re a natural, bud.” He nodded to me, and Silas held out the ring, still well-practiced. “I also have another question I didn’t ask you ahead of time…” Beau came around the table, crouching next to Si’s chair as he leaned in close. “Would it be okay with you if I become your daddy?” Beau’s eyes found mine, “I’d like to adopt Silas before the wedding—if you’ll marry me.”
“Yes!” Si said suddenly, throwing his arms around Beau’s neck. My heart was pounding so hard in my throat. I couldn’t catch my breath as I stared at them. Before I knew it, both boys were looking at me, waiting for my answer.
“Yes! Oh, my God, yes! I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
