“Yes… but it’s not me, it’s us. We are pregnant, Brock.” She stared at him worriedly as he kept looking at her in a daze. “Babe… perhaps I should’ve prepared you first.”

“No, it’s perfect. It’s just… how? You’re on the pill.”

“I know but the antibiotics the doctor gave me after the operation… it’s known to—”

“I don’t care how or when or even where! We’re going to have a baby, truly?”

“Yes, my love. It’s something I accepted wasn’t meant to be. Not for me and when I hit forty, I believed it would never happen, since I didn’t have a man in my life and wasn’t actively looking either.” She covered his hand with hers. “This baby… it’s more than the product of our passion, Brock, she’s the embodiment of our love for each other.”

“She?”

“Yes, I just know it’s going to be a little girl— our own little treasure.” She cupped his face. “And no, she’s not going to take Courtney’s place. She’s going to assert her own special corner of your heart.”

“Well, I have no doubt about that. She’s half of you and that means I’m going to have two sassy and cheeky females in my future.”

“Yep… you’ve got that right, mister.”

“I’m not complaining. I happen to admire how forward and confident you are.” He tapped her on the nose. “But I love your brattiness. It leads to so many hours of sexy fun.”

“At least on that we’re in agreement.”

“You do know what this means, right?”

Jordan looked at him with trepidation. He was wearing his Dom look, the one who warned her he had come to a decision and nothing she said or did would sway his mind.

“We’re getting married immediately. In two weeks in fact.”

“Two weeks! No way Jose!”

“Yep.” He stopped any further protests with a hard kiss. “Not negotiable. In two weeks we’re saying, I do.” He caressed the slight curve of her stomach. “Our daughter demands it.”

“Well, I guess since you put it that way…”

The End.
