She nods, a smile spreading over her lips and I kiss her between her legs, peppering her with pecks to make her understand what she means to me.
“Raye,” a voice barks on the outside and she sits up, eyes flaring and she mouthsmy boss. “Open the door. What are you doing in there?”
Rage fills me and I stand, walking over to the door and I tear it open. “Leave her the hell alone, or I’ll call the cops and tell em you’ve hired a nineteen year old to work in a bar.”
He blinks up at me, then lets out a pipe like a mouse and races down the hallway. Shaking my head in astonishment, I slam the door shut and turn around, only to find that Raye has escaped out of the window.

Raye
He’s a hunter, that’s what he is. Not the cold, ruthless kind but the one who does it because he thinks you’ll go right into a trap if he doesn’t. But him finding out the truth about me, could be a trap for me too and I run with my heart in my throat, without any panties under my short skirt and the breeze keeps hitting me, cooling down the heat Trent left behind.
I managed to sneak a t-shirt out of the boss’s drawers but it’s a little too tight, chafing my nipples and I inhale, trying to calm the beating of my heart when I hear footsteps behind me.
Trent!
He’s so much faster than me, stronger than me, more powerful and I zigzag between the trees when he roars,
“Raye!”
I don’t stop, jumping behind one of the trees when he starts nearing in on me. I watch him in secret as he twirls around, trying to figure out where I am. His breaths are hard and fiery, his eyes flickering with a desperation I’ve never seen in his eyes before.
Does he really want me that bad?
“Raye...” he says carefully, like he’s taking the chance that I might be listening and his chest heaves, “honey...baby, if you’re here then come out. You have nothing to worry about.”
I bite my lip. Don’t I? What about the matches?
His fists clench at the lack of an answer and then he hangs with his head, looking exasperated. It makes me feel for him, makes my body feel like a little magnet being drawn to him and I jerk when I feel a pool of passion in my pussy.
Trent’s head snaps up, his eyes narrowing and he sniffs the wind, making me put a hand in front of my mouth. Did he...? Can he...? That’s not even possible, is it?
A pulse starts pumping in my core, turning off all my senses until I can’t feel anything but that rhythm in me. It seems to be calling to Trent because he takes a step closer toward me, even if he can’t see me and I dig my nails into the tree stem.
My own body is betraying me, like it only cares about him and I let out a silent whimper but then Trent stops, his phone ringing and he takes it out.
“Yeah?” he snaps, his dark golden brows furrowing. “I’m not at the bar anymore, I left.”
Pause.
“She’s not just another girl to me,” he says and I perk my ears. He rubs his cheek with his hand. “She’s something else. She’s...” He shakes his head, looking down.
“Fuck, you won’t get it but she got all me twisted.”
My own heart twists in my chest, starting to leak for him.
“Aha, yeah, sorry about the neck.” Trent nods. “All right, I’ll see your ugly face on Tuesday.”
He hangs up but his words still swim in my head. I’ve twisted him. Me, the girl from nowhere, the clueless one, the freaky one. I tense.
That’s right the freaky one. Only that he doesn’t know about it, if he did then...
I silently start backing away, while Trent goes off in another direction and then I start running and I run back to my house. By the time I’m home, stars are already up on the sky and twinkling down at me.
Grabbing a quick snack, I go into the bathroom and get ready for bed, even if I don’t know how I’ll be able to sleep after everything that’s happened. It’s not every day a girl meets a sun god. One she can’t tell her secrets to, but maybe one day she will be able to...
Maybe.
