That night we fall asleep, like we’ve known each other for years. Like we’re not two strangers who just happened to meet and then just hit it off. It feels like we’re supposed to be one. And never separate.

Reaching for my robe, I get out of bed with heated cheeks wrapping it around me when Logan suddenly lets out a growl and I gasp when his iron arm, snakes around my waist. Looking over my shoulder at him with astound eyes, I notice he’s still half asleep.

Strange...

Snarling like I’m prey he can’t afford losing, his eyes flay open, staring into mine and he notices how tense I am.

“Bloody hell...” he curses to himself, letting me go, “sorry, lass.”

“No worries,” I breathe, wondering why he had such a strong reaction but I don’t ask.

Looking around the room, he rubs his face. “Already morning?”

“Aha yup.” Glancing at him, I say. “Would it be crazy if I took a dip in the lake?”

“The loch?” he frowns, before getting something heated in his eyes. “Naked?”

Shrugging I say, “Sure, why not?”

“A wee dip, probably won’t hurt,” he says guickly, getting out of bed and even though I’ve already seen him without his clothes, I still feel like putting a hand in front of my mouth and giggling from getting so flustered.

Putting on his clothes from yesterday, including that hot kilt of his he gestures towards the door. “Shall we?”

Nodding, we walk together down the staircase then outside and an icy breeze slams my face and I let out a squeak when I dip my toe into the shadowy lake.

“Go on then,” Logan grins, looking even mightier after our romp. “Be brave.”

He’s daring me and I raise a brow.

“Challenge accepted,” I purr, dropping my robe and he nearly chokes at the sight of me, putting his fist in front of his mouth and he lets out a curse. Turning from him, I call, “Now, watch me slay...”

Or maybe it’s just me getting slayed, because the lake is freezing and I only manage to take three, quick dips before it feels like my head is about to fall off.

“There,” I tell Logan with shuddering teeth and he wraps me up in my robe, “I did it. Was that good enough for you?”

“Aye, ya are verra brave,” he twangs with shimmery eyes, rubbing my arms up and down. “And verra, verra bonnie.”

I laugh at that, walking back inside with me dancing in front of him like a lovesick teenager. He tells me he’s going to make a Scottish traditional breakfast and my stomach rumbles at the thought. But first I need to go and get dressed.

Skipping up to my bedroom, I throw aside my robe, rummaging for something to wear. I settle for denims, a lacy tank top and an oversized cardigan. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I reach for my lipstick to finish off my look when my phone rings.

Belén! A girlfriend from Spain and with a huge smile, I quickly answer only to have her bust my eardrums with an outdrawn scream.

“Loca, you’re in Europe!” she shrieks. “Aaahhhh....”

“Aaahhhh...” I shriek back, dancing around the room like a lunatic.

“When are you coming to visit me?” she asks and I plunge down on my bed.

“Soon of course, but you know I just got here.”

“Yesterday right? Si, si, I saw it on your social media. How do you like it so far?”

“Better than expected,” I answer, then bury my face in my pillows, “I’ve met the hottest Scottish man I’ve ever seen and he takes my breath away.”

“Mhm, tell me more,” Belén drones and I go on with describing Logan’s personality, his charm, his ruggedness and his appearance when she interrupts me.
