He frowned. “About what?”
“A womancanhave two great loves in her life.” She looped her arms around his neck and made certain he was looking into her eyes. “But I want you to know that you are undoubtedly the greatest love I have ever or will ever have.Youare my soulmate, Chase Grayson, and I thank God I found you.”
He grinned, and his dimples deepened. “You found me? I think I found you.”
“I’m the one that came to Grayson Towers looking for a job.”
“A job you weren’t qualified for,” he said. “But I gave it to you anyway, so Ifoundyou.”
She scoffed. “You gave it to me because the temp you hired quit, and I jumped in to save the day.”
They continued to jokingly argue as they left the building and went to their apartment in the city. Chase’s mother decided to keep the baby overnight, so they would be alone for the first time in weeks. When they reached the apartment, Chase wanted to make love. Fortunately for her, he was as tired as she was and agreed to sleep first. That’s all Katie wanted, blissful, undisturbed sleep.
She slept wrapped in his arms and had the most wonderful dreams. But the best dream ever couldn’t compare with her real life. As long as she had Chase and Bella, she didn’t need anything else.
Well, maybe one or two more babies.
They’d have to talk about that later.
