“So you keep saying, Styx. You’re starting to sound like a broken record.”
She tips her head to the side, looking way cuter than I think she intends to.
“Right, well come on then. I guess I’ve got my work cut out for me.”
Wrapping my arm around her shoulder, I guide her toward my car, our audience still as strong as ever.
Comments about her chaperone the rest of this week dance on the tip of my tongue, but I manage to bite them back. Well, that is until she looks around the parking lot, none too discreetly.
“Looking for someone, Kitty Kat?”
“U-uh… no. I was just meant to be getting a ride home with a friend,” she lies.
“You’d better message them to say their services aren’t necessary.”
She hesitates when we come to a stop beside the passenger door of my car. “Y-yeah, I guess I should.”
“Good, make sure you let them know that you’re going to be otherwise engaged all night.” Her eyes narrow suspiciously. “I’ve got plans for you, Kitty Kat.”
Her eyes dilate as she stares at me and it makes my blood boil with the thought of getting what I’ve been craving since I was forced to leave her bedroom the other night.
“Whatever it is you’re thinking about right now, I’ll make it happen,” I promise.
“Is that right?”
I take a step closer to her, pinning her against my car with my hips. “Anything,” I drawl.
A wicked smile curls at the corner of her lips. “You’ve got a lot of making up to do, Styx, and I don’t intend on spending my Thursday night in the parking lot of Red Ridge High.
Reaching out, I pull my passenger door open and gesture for her to get in.
“Send the message to your friend, cancel your plans then I’m banning cell phones. You’re mine tonight, and mine only.”
Her lips part at my tone and it takes every ounce of my restraint not to lean in and claim her.
From the way her eyes darken and the movement of her chest increasing, I’d say she’s having similar thoughts.
Good. It sure should make my job tonight easier.
“Mine,” I repeat before standing back and slamming the door.
I give her the time it takes for me to walk around the hood and drop into the driver’s seat before I reach over and pluck her cell from her fingers and slide it into my pocket with mine.
“Styx, what the fuck?” she barks.
“Just us tonight. No distractions.” She glares at me with her arms folded beneath her breasts, making it really fucking hard not to let my eyes drop. “Not an issue, is it?”
“Only time will tell,” she sasses. “What are the big plans?”
“You’ll have to wait and see.”
Twisting away from her, I start the engine and back out of the space.

“What’s the jury saying now?” I ask as we pull up outside my house a little over two hours later.
I took her to the edge of town to a country park, bought her ice cream and we walked hand in hand around the huge lake.
