Chapter Fifteen
Her hands tightened around the edge of the table and she leaned into Sevastyan’s space.
“Wrong.” She used her grip on the table like a lifeline when Sevastyan’s glare only turned colder.
“What did you say to me?”
His hand shot to hers and tore it away from the table. Her weight shifted too fast; she couldn’t catch herself before falling into Sevastyan’s lap. He turned her quickly so her ass was in his lap and her mouth inches from his. He gripped her throat in a hold that bordered painful and fuck if it didn’t make her drip with ill-timed excitement.
She let him know how much it turned her on too. Bet he didn’t expect that. She rocked her hips and caught the feel of his hardening shaft under her ass.
He groaned and flexed those fingers a little tighter. He’d definitely gone easier on her the previous night. Her Russian liked to play rough.
“I said, wrong. I’m going. You can play hardball all you want.” Her words were raspy but she made sure to put the force of her conviction into them. She put a hand over his and let her mouth fall open. And then he did something that shocked the hell out of her.
A couple of swift movements and he had her bent over the table, ass in the air. Roman and Matteo were on their feet and beside her before she found her bearings.
“I should have warned you,” Matteo muttered, coming up beside her. His body heat a welcome brush against her senses. “You shouldn’t try to throw your little weight around, cariña,” Matteo murmured. “It only makes the monsters in us want to play with you. But I wouldn’t mind seeing you fight a little more. I want to see you try and win this so I can tie you to a bed naked. That pussy bare for me to take over and over again. Come on. Fight a little harder. You know we like it. This is about to get really fucking kinky.”
She took a deep breath. She slapped her hand on the table. “I’m not playing. You didn’t hear me. You don’t want to fight me over this. I’ve made up my mind. I’m already chin-deep in this.” She threw a glare over her shoulder when strong fingers popped the button to her jeans and dragged the material over her ass. “I need to see it through to the end. I have a stake in this, too. Or did you forget? I am not helpless. Not now and not ever. So don’t make me out to be.”
“But you are helpless,” Sevastyan mocked her. His hands caressed gentle circles over her cheeks. “You forget our rules.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Yes, you did.” Roman nailed her with a pointed look while his hands were busy pulling her shirt away from her ass so Sevastyan and Matteo could get a better eye full.
Rules. Rules…
“What I said stands. You stay. But we’ll leave you well sated.”
These men were going to push her over the edge of sanity. How that would be good for anyone, she didn’t know. But they were all about to find out. “Please, Sevastyan. Please let me go to the auction. I want to be by your side. I don’t want to be left alone.”
Three sets of eyes held her to the table. Sevastyan dropped his substantial weight into the chair and kissed her softly before pulling her pants back into place.
“What kind of men would we be to willingly let you walk into danger that could get you killed?” She heard the panic in Sevastyan’s voice but there was a forceful arrogance too. She had a feeling if she backed down from this, it would set a tone for them moving forward. She didn’t want them to look at her as the weaker of the group. She may not be some badass mafia king, but she had grit.
Matteo and Roman helped her up and she turned, prepared for a fight of wills.
Sevastyan’s hard eyes felt like they were shooting straight through to her soul, and fire ran up her arms to settle in her chest. He moved to probably take her over his shoulder and put her behind a lock and key when an alarm pierced the tense silence.
What looked like unfiltered rage flitted across his face.
“What is it?”
Sevastyan grabbed her arm in a tight grip and pulled. “Stay put!”
Roman and Matteo flanked her.
The sound of hinges grinding in the direction of the underground garage sent chills up her spine. “Oh, God. Did they find us? Indigo is one deranged bitch. I bet she followed you guys here.”
The hair on the back of her arms and neck rose with a familiar tingle erupting over her skin. A precursor to danger finding her she’d learned.
She fisted Sevastyan’s shirt in a tight hold. “What the hell is going on here? I thought no one knew about this place.” Whoever was on the other side of the main door had her heart racing out of fear.
Sevastyan grabbed a gun from a side table by the door, Roman and Lucian doing the same.
Roman unlocked a side panel beside the garage door and punched in an eight-digit code. A beep and the door released with a metallic clank.
