I’m huge. I spread my arms, look down at my chest. I’m still shaped like me. But I’m as big as that monkey. I was so wrapped up in the fight, in my rage and my desperation to protect my little human, I didn’t even realize that I’d grown so huge.

Well, here it is. I want to laugh at our creators. Here’s that vicious monster you wanted to conjure. It only took finding a mate, growing strong feelings for her, fucking her, and then putting her in danger. A truly inefficient process to grow a soldier. It’s not so shocking that they wanted to blast us into a sun.

“Your leg,” she says. Blood pours down my calf and pools in a great puddle in the sand. The rage winds down; I’m starting to feel a little dizzy. I sit down, and the ground shakes when I do.
