Chapter Six
The fight was getting set up, and Rage was ready to put both of the prospects in their place, and see who earned the right to remain in the club. Unfortunately, due to the rules of the club, he was only allowed to put one prospect through his paces, and Rage had been given Liam while Saint had Paul to deal with.
“You’re ready for the fight,” Pea said, coming to stand beside him.
“I am.” Leaning against the doorframe, Rage watched as the men and women started to gather around the circle that had been made in the sandy part of the club around the back. The grass never grew, and Saint used the circle for the men to train and of course to fight.
Rage spotted Penny being led with Melissa and Susan. A couple of old ladies were around them, and he smiled. They would treat Penny right, the way she was supposed to be treated.
“She seems happy,” Pea said.
“How long have you wanted to fuck her?” Rage asked, turning to glance at his club brother.
Pea’s jaw clenched, showing his anger. Rage wasn’t going to pretend that there wasn’t an elephant in the room. He wasn’t going to pretend Pea didn’t want his woman. Melissa looked happy, and when Rage got a chance, he was going to go and have a little chat with her.
“From the first moment I saw her, and she seemed to look through me. Penny is different from all of the other women I’ve been with,” Pea said. He was staring outside, clearly looking toward Penny.
“Does Melissa know?”
“She does, and she doesn’t care. Penny is a beautiful woman, and I love screwing beautiful women.”
“What the fuck is going on? If you wanted Penny, why the fuck did you marry Melissa?”
“I saw Penny grow up, and no, I didn’t have designs on her when she was a kid. She and Melissa would always come around with their mother and father. When they died, it was hard on both of them, and I wanted to show my support.”
“How did you end up with Melissa?” Rage remembered Penny and Melissa coming around. He’d always thought that Penny was the cute one, sweet while Melissa had always been a tease, waiting to snap herself a man.
“Melissa and I, we get along. We get each other, and our relationship, it works for us. When Mel and I started dating, she asked that I keep an eye on Penny. I hadn’t seen Penny for some time, not really noticed her, and when I finally did see her, I thought she was fucking beautiful, still do. Penny was dating back then. I hated the asshole. He was a banker, I think. He didn’t deserve her. One day the whole club just descended on the diner where they were having dinner, and when Penny wasn’t looking this asshole was eyeing up the club pussy. He even handed one of them his card.. Penny wouldn’t handle my lifestyle, but Melissa was more than happy to handle my lifestyle. I want to fuck Penny, but I wouldn’t make her happy. I’m an asshole, Rage, not cruel. Penny, she’s a sweetheart, and I would break her. I know that.”
“That’s why you got married? You and Melissa match?”
“Yep. Believe it or not, Rage, I like Penny, and I care about Melissa in my own way. Think about it, where am I going to find a woman who’ll one day have my kid, and accepts that I’m not perfect? Melissa and I, we get each other, and I’m happy. With regards to Penny, she was a little reckless with the men she dated. They were assholes, and my being married to Melissa provided a little protection for her. I may want to fuck Penny, and I may like her a lot, but she loves her sister, and she’d never betray that kind of trust with me.”
“So being married with Melissa makes sure Penny is protected while also keeping you and Melissa happy?”
“Yes, and it gives me a woman who doesn’t mind I like variety in my pussy.”
“Damn, man, that is fucked up.”
“I couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to either of them,” Pea said.
“I’m not going to hurt Penny. I’ve loved her for a long time, and this is more than a quick fuck.”
“I know.”
“You’re not going to be taking her from me. I will kill you first.”
“Gentlemen, settle this fight in the ring,” Saint said, coming up behind him. “I suggest you both fight with Liam.”
Rage nodded, and so did Pea. It wasn’t unusual for more than one brother to take on a prospect. They had to be put through their paces.
“I better go and give my last will and testament to my wife,” Pea said, leaving the clubhouse.
“Did you know he wanted Penny?” Rage asked.
“It was hard not to see it. He was always watching her. I wondered for a time if Penny knew, and that was why she stopped coming to the clubhouse.”
“She doesn’t have a clue. If anything, she sees Pea as more a disappointing brother who she has to drag back home to her sister.”
