Chapter Four
One week later
That night, the boundaries of their relationship were explored. Dominic was determined to go through every single element of his contract. He wanted to know her hard limits, soft limits, and everything in between. Avery sat at her desk; with a small lull in phone calls she was able to think about the past week. It was once again a Friday, and tonight she had agreed to stay over for the entire weekend. She was a little nervous, but not overly concerned. This wasn’t the first time she’d slept over with him, but it was the first time they would be exploring their Dom/sub lifestyle together.
He’d already showed her around his playroom, which he kept in his basement. He had every single tool. The perfect Dom’s dream collection.
For the past week, he’d been meeting her at work and taking her home. It was strange how quickly their lives had changed. She’d not been to Darkest Dreams in all of that time. Ella was calling her nonstop, asking her what was going on. She did her best to avoid everything about Dominic, and Darkest Dreams. So far Ella was okay with her explanation that she was so tired, and didn’t want to go.
Thinking about Dominic made her pause. Every single night they had been together, there hadn’t been any rules, or limits. To Avery, they were simply exploring a normal relationship. Their sex had been amazing, the best of her life. She couldn’t help the nerves as this was all new territory for her.
She trusted him with her limits in all things. When they had gone over that contract, he’d gone into so much detail it had made her blush so much. Her phone started ringing, and she didn’t have time to think of what was about to happen. The next time she had a spare moment was as she was leaving her work.
There, outside her office building, was Dominic. He sat on the wall, looking every part the cool, collected businessman. She was surprised to see him all exposed like that.
“Wow,” she said.
Glancing around her, she saw he was getting a lot of attention.
“I thought it was time you saw the other me.” He stood up, and gave her a little twirl.
“I never would have thought you’d look good in a suit.”
He raised a brow.
“I know, you look good in everything,” she said, laughing.
“You bet your sweet ass I do.”
It was the first time she’d seen him in a teasing way.
Laughing, she stepped toward him. “Thank you for meeting me.”
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in close. “I can’t think of anything else. I’ve been in meetings all day, and all I could think about was having you bound and gagged, begging me to fuck you.”
She smiled, resting her head against his chest. “I’m looking forward to it.”
“Good, ’cause I don’t want to linger tonight. I want to take you to my home, and I want to show exactly how good it is to play.”
He led the way back to his car, and she got a thrill just knowing he was going to be all hers for the night.
Dominic opened the door for her, waiting until she was seated. He surprised her further by leaning into the car and buckling her seatbelt. “I want to make sure you’re nice and secure.”
“O-okay.”
With how close he was, everything was invading her senses.
He pressed a kiss to her temple before closing the door, and seconds later he was beside her, getting the car ready to take them elsewhere.
“What are you thinking about tonight?” he asked.
“I’m a little nervous.”
During their time going through the contract agreement, he wanted her to be completely honest with him. At times Avery found it hard to be so, but she was determined to make this work, no matter how much it was uncomfortable.
“There’s no need to be uncomfortable. I’ve told you, I’ll listen to all of your signals, baby. Tonight is about us exploring.”
“What have we been doing for the past week?” she asked.
