“I won’t need them. I only need a small area to hang stuff, and a few drawers. Why isn’t your stuff in here?” When he doesn’t answer, I close one of the cabinets I’d opened to turn and look at him.

“Well—”

“It was in here, wasn’t it?”

“I didn’t need all this space either. Besides, what kind of a husband would I be if I took the bigger closet?” A small laugh slips past my lips. Why is that adorably charming of him?

“The kind who has forty times the clothes I do.”

“Today maybe I do. But that won’t last for long. I plan on spoiling you.” He slips my bag off his shoulder, setting it down on a beautiful velvet bench.

“You’re nuts if you think I’ll ever fill this.” I glance around the closet again, this time taking in the exquisite chandelier. “This is twice the size of my bedroom.”

“Jules.” I turn to face him, not realizing he’s moved so close. He’s right in front of me now. He called me Jules. For some reason it sounds sexy coming from him, but everything he does seems to be sexy to me. That damn kiss. I can’t stop thinking about it.

“Yeah?”

“Don’t fight me on this. You might think I’m being kind and even generous.”

“You are.”

“I’m also stubborn and used to getting my way. Some might even say obsessive at times.”

“Are you telling me fighting with you is pointless?”

“Yes.” I stare up into those gray eyes of his, waiting for annoyance to hit me at his words. It doesn’t come. Nope, his domineering ways do something else to me. My eyes drop to his mouth. I lick my lips, wishing he would kiss me again.

“Okay, I won’t fight you on this one.”

“Good, don’t fight me on this one either.” The next thing I know, his mouth is on mine.

I don’t fight him. I stand here in shock for a moment until his tongue licks the seam of my mouth, demanding entrance. Again, I don’t fight him. In fact, I do the opposite. I part my lips, giving him what he wants: full access. I have a feeling I’m going to be doing that a lot.
