I could feel warm liquid stroll down my cheek…
I was… crying.
“Are you okay?” Nick asked, “Does it hurt?”
“No… I’m just so happy right now,” I admitted.
“It’s alright Aria,” he said, “It’s you and I now.”
“I love you Nick Parker.”
“I love you too Aria Wolfe.”
I can’t remember how much work I had done that day but I know we spent the rest of the day in that office.
My den had become our love nest.
Bring it on mother… Nick and I are ready to take on your suitors anytime. The End
Epilogue
As the day came to an end, Nick decided to go home alone as Aria had lots to work on.
He was brimming with joy and had a kick in his step.
“I have a girlfriend now I guess,” he chuckled and pinched himself, “Definitely not dreaming.”
Few minutes to his house he notices something isn’t right.
Someone had been following him.
Before he could turn, the stalker hit him with an object causing Nick to collapse.
“Gah…” Nick groaned, “Who?”
“Ah,” the assailant spoke, “You again?”
The voice… sounded familiar.
“This must be fate,” the assailant continued, “I’ll let you go this time.”
Nick passed out.
As he awoke, he finds himself in a hospital room with Hunter by his side.
“Dude thank God,” Hunter let out a sigh of relief, “Mrs Williams found you and brought you here.”
“Ah, the old neighbor, extend my greetings,” Nick said, “Make preparations, we’ll be returning to the old house soon. For a short visit.”
“The old…” Hunter was confused but realization slowly hit him, “Don’t tell me.”
“Yes, Hunter my friend, I remember everything.”
