“Ho? To what?”
“Well, I want the woman I admire to watch me closely as I grow,” I answered, “After the internship program, I hope to become a full member of the team and start a side hustle. I hope it pays off.”
“It will,” he said, “Trust me, it always does.”
“Thank you Mr. Michael.”
“Drop the Mister,” he said as he got up to leave.
As he was about leaving, there was a slight commotion. Other team members were cheering for someone.
“Oh, calm yertits, I’ve been gone for like what two months,” a woman said as she walked in, “Ah, someone’s on my desk.”
She wore a crop top that revealed a set of abs and a hoodie. Her jet black hair seemed to shine oddly enough. Her leggings which were the same color as her top, contained a fine pair of thighs. She wasn’t masculine save for the abs but you could tell she was athletic.
She made eye contact with me and I had that weird Déjà vu feeling. The plastic water bottle in her hand dropped to the floor.
“Parker? Oh my God, Parker?” she ran over to me and hugged me.
Just then Aria and her mother walked in.
“Oh, Tracy welco-eh, do you know Nick?” Aria asked.
Tracy?
“Ah, Aria,” Tracy turned to look at her but didn’t let my neck go, “Do I know him? Parker is my ex. And who’s Nick?”
“Huh?” Aria’s mother raised a brow.
