He glances at me and my eyes flash at him with rage when I think of losing the most beautiful thing on this earth because of him. Then he has the balls to play with my head and tell me he misses me. He doesn’t look interested in Gloria, but he isn’t doing much about it. I’m tired of all of it. I’m done.

Colton glances at me and his expression softens, and I know it’s because he must feel sorry for me now that he knows.

My phone vibrates and I look at my phone.

A: Can you talk?

Me: Can I see you?

A: Right now?

Me: Yes.

Three little dots appear and then disappear.

Glancing at Linda, a plan formulates in my head. “Linda, I’ll take you home,” I tell her.

“Okay.”

“No way,” Mason says. “You can’t go and drive back alone.”

I give him a hard glare and then nod my head in Gloria and Josie’s direction. “You will be too busy to notice.” I walk away with Linda in tow.

“Lucy, you can’t go,” Mason calls out, but I ignore him. I’m tired and I need to stop acting crazy over a guy that doesn’t want me. She can have him. I’m done.

My phone vibrates as I unlock my car and slide inside.

A: Follow the Black G-wagon parked by the curb of my house.

Me: Ok. I’ll be right there.

A: I’ll be waiting for you,hermosa.

After dropping off Linda, I see the black G-wagon parked at the curb. My phone vibrates from an incoming message.

A: Follow me.

Mase: Where are you?

Ignoring Mason’s text, I drive behind the black G-wagon. After five minutes, my phone rings through Bluetooth. Looking at the screen of my car, I see it’s Aiden.

“Hello?”

“Where are you? Mase is freaking out because you are out, and Khalani called Linda and she said you already dropped her off.”

“Are you serious? What is Mason’s problem?”

“He gets worried, and he doesn’t have access to track the Porsche, so he called me.”

Fuck. I didn’t think Aiden could track my car. I totally forgot. Probably why Alex told me to follow him and go in two cars. If my Porsche is parked in the east, Aiden will know I’m here and not with Linda. I can’t lie to my brother. It’s better I tell him, or he will lose his shit.

I take a deep breath. “That’s because I’m out with someone. Don’t worry, it is safe. He will keep me safe.”

“I know I didn’t just hear you’re out alone with a guy none of us have seen or heard from.”

I wince. “Actually, you kind of know exactly all there is to know about him.”
