JACK
It felt great to be back on the slopes everyday training on my board. I still did yoga and worked out every day besides spending time on the snow to keep myself in top shape. It was the life I knew, but I hadn’t seen Avery for a while.
I’d always put my dreams before anything else, but I grinned when I saw Avery leaving the restaurant later that day. I’d just stored my board in a spare room so I could shower and get some shots done of the lodge for social media.
I glanced around to make sure Jefferson wasn’t around before approaching her. “Hey there.”
“Jack. Hi.” Avery greeted me, appearing distracted as she looked up at me. I knew she had an interview for a job from Ben and Charlie, but there was no word on any offer. “How was your day?”
“The slopes were amazing. I have some pictures to take outside if you’d like to join me. Do you have some free time?” I asked her, as she seemed to brighten.
“Let me get my coat.” I nodded and told her I’d meet her outside to not be too obvious. I headed out the door and looked around with a smile, thinking of a way I could distract Avery from her thoughts.
When she came outside in her coat, I told her I was going to head down the path that wasn’t used as much since it was still being finished after a storm. “I just want some fresh shots,” I explained to her as she nodded and followed me down the path.
“It’s pretty back here.” Avery told me as I took pictures along the way.
“It is. That last snowfall was too much for the end, so it needs to be fixed up.” I glanced back at her and she arched a brow at me.
“What is that look for, Jack?” Avery asked as I chuckled. She knew me well, and I glanced around.
“Come here,” I told her, reaching for her hand and pulling her off the path into a group of trees.
“Jack! Aren’t you supposed to be working?” Avery asked as she walked with me.
“Sure, but I thought we might finish what we started in the bar out here. It’s private and nobody can see us, but you can still come.” I told her, pushing her against a tree to kiss her.
Avery tasted like dessert, and I sucked the flavor off her lips. She moaned as our tongues met and I felt her hand in my hair. “I don’t think we can go at it out here in the snow, Jack. It’s freezing.” Avery murmured when I pulled away to look at her.
“We don’t need to.” I took my camera and placed it around her neck, telling Avery to keep it safe as I reached down to grip the hem of her black fleece leggings.
“What are you doing?” Avery asked as I tugged them down, dropping to my knees. I changed into another pair of warm snow pants for this and knew I’d be fine for a few minutes.
I spread her legs and reminded her to keep the camera safe before leaning in to stroke my tongue along her pussy. Avery moaned, dropping her head back as I went deeper into her folds, getting every spot but her clit as her hand slid in my hair. Although we couldn’t be seen, I still felt the thrill of adrenaline racing through my veins as I sucked her sensitive nub between my lips.
I teased her with open-mouthed kisses and slow licks of my tongue in between gentle nips of my teeth. Avery soaked my mouth with desire as she gripped my hair, knocking my hat to the ground. I knew her well and made her come within a few minutes, smiling as Avery held in her moans.
I gulped her as I drew out her orgasm, feeling her tremble against me. When I pulled away, I stood slowly to help her stay in place. I leaned down to pull her pants up before giving her a long kiss, grinning as she tasted herself on me.
“What about you?” She asked shakily, staring at me.
“That was for you, Avery.” I assured her as her eyes widened. “Next time.” With the interview, I hoped there might be a next time, since that could cut our time together down a lot.
“Really?” Avery asked as I nodded.
“Sure. Want to keep walking around with me? I really need to work now.” I chuckled as she laughed with me, seeming to feel lighter than she had a few minutes ago.
“You’re nuts,” Avery told me as she looked down to make sure she looked normal. We made our way back to the path, and I walked a couple more, taking pictures and videos of the property to lure visitors to the lodge. “How did you get into this in the first place, Jack?”
“When I was a teenager surfing and skateboarding, I thought it might be fun to post videos on YouTube. All my friends did the same thing, and I discovered I enjoyed it, and they helped me get great footage.” I took another picture of the side of Ciderworks that showed a snowy mountain in the background before smiling at her. “People seemed to get into it and when we got the proper cameras to get footage snowboarding, we threw that online and everyone loved it.”
“I’d like to see some of that. Is it still up?” Avery asked, pausing while I took another picture.
“Yeah. I don’t add to it as much since I’m busy training, but it gave me a future. Once I knew that I’d be boarding for a living, I started taking jobs doing content work for different businesses. I could work locally for a while and it’s a great remote job. Once I met Jefferson at a competition here, we clicked, and he asked me if I wanted to run the social media and website for this place. I love training here, so I accepted, and the rest is history for now.”
I glanced at her, realizing Avery was in a similar position right now that might change our future. I didn’t mention it since she seemed to keep it to herself, but there was indecision in her eyes.
“That’s perfect for you, Jack. I love what you post on the website and between the new customers from the Christmas event and all that content, I think Jefferson is going to be a busy man.” Avery assured me as she smiled at me. “He’ll hate to lose you should you ever have to leave.”
