“In that, Sara isn’t the type to mince words,” Barbara answered. “My guess is that she probably let him have it, and he likely isn’t the type to handle that well. But we must remember that it may not even be him for all we know. I'm just coming up with theories here.”

“It's a good theory,” Tristan assured her.

“Especially since we don't have anything else to go on.” Rhett agreed with Tristan.

He really did need to find a way to get Sara to move past being mad at him so they could figure out what was going on and who this mysterious stalker of hers was. He didn't like the idea of his mate being in danger. It made his wolf antsy, ready to strike out to protect what was theirs.

And it would be much easier to do that if he was welcome on her property.

“I think I'm gonna take a ride over there to see if I can pick up on the scent,” Rhett said.

“I'll go with you. It was dark last night, and I'd like to get a better look around in the daylight. Besides, Sara might not kick you out if I’m with you. At least this way, I can explain to her what we are doing and why we are both there.” Tristan turned and looked at his wife. “Do you want to go too, or are you good staying here?”

“I’ll go too. I think I’d like to sit with Sara for a bit, just to give her someone to talk to.”
