Tristan pulled his phone from his pocket and fired off a couple of quick text messages.

“Great. I’ll go with you,” Sara stood, standing up. It was at that moment she realized she was in a nightgown that wasn’t hers. “Oh no, I showed up naked?”

“Well, you showed up in fur,” Barbara laughed. “You shifted into a naked human, but don’t be embarrassed. Shifters see enough nudity that it doesn’t bother us.”

“I think you should stay here with Barbara …” Tristan interjected.

“I’m going too!” Barbara stood next to Sara, crossing her arms over her chest.

“I can’t talk the two of you into staying here? All things considered?” Tristian asked.

“Nope,” they answered in unison.

“Look, I have no idea what we are going to find when we get there. I’d really rather you girls …”

“Don’t you dare start with that caveman shit with me,” Barbara growled! “You know damn well that we can take care of ourselves. Besides, you’ll be there. We’ll be perfectly fine.”

Sara nodded. “She’s a wolf, and I’m a … well, I don’t know what the hell I am right now, but I’m not without my own magic.” When this whole damn thing was over, she really was going to have to get to the bottom of things.

“Fine,” Tristan said.

“Fine,” Barbara agreed.

“Fine,” Sara said.
