I get out of his car then lean back in.
“See you tomorrow night.”
“Yup. I won’t be there Saturday though.”
“Gennie told me. Olivia is covering for you.”
“I figured as much. See ya.” He waves at me as I shut the door and mouth the words goodbye to him and wave back.

Chapter Fifteen
Grayson
“GRAY, YOU MADE IT” Chris says from the entrance of the party bus.
“I did. Thanks, by the way, for telling Gennie.” I say and punch his shoulder as I scoot past him and find a seat.
“Hey man, this is an important day for our boy. You had to be here.” Chris says as he takes a seat next to me.
“I know.”
I look around at the impressive party on wheels.
“You know, I could have driven. I’m not drinking.”
“The hell you aren’t”
“I have to work tomorrow and would rather not be hungover and have to smell alcohol. Barf.”
“Now, what fun is that going to be?” Troy asks as he climbs the steps, Curtis right behind him.

“There is he, the man of the night,” I say and stand to give him a quick hug.
“You really not going to drink?” Curtis asks me
“Maybe I’ll have a beer when we get there. But that’s it.” Curtis rolls his eyes and takes a seat. The driver of the bus shuts the doors, and we are on our way.
“So, man, what’s with the girl you’ve been bartending with?”
Troy asks
“Riley? What about her?”
“You two a thing?”
My face heats and my heart rate picks up a bit.
“I took her floating the river and we had a movie day last week, but nah, we aren’t a thing.”
“Tell that to your blushing cheeks” Chris says “Sounds like ya’ll are Tweethearts”
