“Did you?” I said as I raised my eyes.
Seb's Adam’s apple rose and dropped but he didn’t answer. Instead, he laid down on the bed in front of her.
“Don’t ask me to leave because it isn’t happening, not yet anyway," he said, stroking her arm with his fingertips and leaned closer to her and kissed her on her lips.
I wanted to scream at him to leave her the fuck alone. But just as I was about to do it, I spun to the creak of the door as it opened again, sighing as Kane and Ryan strode in. My mouth dropped open as they sat on the end of the bed. All the while, I stood motionless in my boxer shorts at the edge of the bed and you'd think I wasn’t there. In fact, it was like an effing nightmare as I watched them. Seb stayed where he was, gazing at her sleeping face. Kane lifted her foot, taking off her socks, and placed each down carefully.
Ryan unzipped her skirt.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I whisper-yelled to Ryan.
“Shush.” Seb glared, and Ryan shimmied the skirt over her hips.
As I watched my friends doing each of their things, I also noticed they were ever so gentle with her, trying not to wake her. I sighed a deep breath and raised each of her arms, lifting her top slowly to not wake her. We all gawped. I was more surprised to see Kane’s mouth wide open as we stared at her dressed in red lace underwear.
“Can you believe she went on a date with Jack in this underwear?” I hissed.
“Carter, she had clothes over the top,” Ryan said, and shook his head.
“Jack wants her to be his and Blake’s long-term girl,” I said. “And he actually asked her. They are making their move.”
“Shit, are you kidding?” Seb hissed. “I’m going to kill them.”
“I wish I was.”
“How did she respond?” Kane didn’t look at me, just kept her leg on his as he stroked his fingers up her leg.
I didn’t answer at first, I was too busy looking around at each of them cuddling or stroking her. “She said she’d think about it.”
“We should make her our long-term girl,” Seb said, but he had a grin on his face. “At least until she’s ready to choose me.”
“I’m not sharing her,” I said.
“Okay, when she chooses me, don’t ask me to share her,” Seb said.
“Neither of you has any of her at the moment,” Kane said, still not looking at me.
“It’s not a bad idea. We’re supposed to be coming together to get her prepared for when her real magic starts, and…” Ryan stopped talking as he stood and then sat behind Lacey at the top of the bed. Gently, he plucked her hair from her face. “It looks like she is hellbent on hurting you and obviously has something on her mind. Beat her to it, let her get it out of her system.”
“I suppose that way, you know who she is with. Exclusive, only us and we can’t be with anyone else either.” Kane said. “And she can’t be with Jack and Blake.”
“You don’t even like her. How will that work for you?” I asked.
“I didn’t say I didn’t like her,” Kane hissed.
“Do you still call her princess?” I asked and shook my head because I knew he was.
“No,” Kane hissed.
I sighed. What was the point of arguing? Not sure why it bothered me. Lacey wouldn’t want anything to do with him. Which meant, one down, Seb and Ryan to go, and she’d be all mine again.
Ryan cleared his throat. “We’ll have to talk to her, but she’s considering Blake and Jack. So what would you prefer? Us or them?” he said, stopping any argument from happening between me and Kane. “And considering she might say no, then you have to see if you can win her back before she ends up with Seb.”
One side of Seb’s mouth lifted, and I glared at him. “I’ll think about it. Everyone out, I’m sleeping with her tonight.”
“Don’t touch her,” Kane said possessively, and that startled me again.
I raised my eyes. “I’m not a monster.”
