“Who knew the good little human was so lost?” Dax countered, turning me around so our chests met again. His hands were still slick, though all of the soap had been washed from my skin by the falling water. He walked me backward, his mouth lowering toward mine bit by bit until my back hit the wall—and his silky lips brushed mine.

I didn’t want that teeny tiny kiss.

I wanted what we’d had in bed together—hell, I wanted even more.

My fingers sank into his hair, pulling his mouth to mine as I wrapped a leg around his hip, pulling his erection to my core. He growled into my mouth as our slick, sensitive bits met.

His hands wrapped around my ass, and he dragged me further up his body, up his erection. The tip of him slid into me, and we groaned together.

A knock at the front door had us halting.

“Who the hell is it now?” Dax snarled.

“Your friends, if I had to guess,” I breathed back.

“Ourpack, you mean.”

That wasn’t what I meant, actually.

Another, louder knock echoed, and I heard Lizzy yell my name.

“Shit. She has a key.” My eyes jerked to Dax’s, whose widened.

He flung the shower door open and set me on my feet. I booked it toward the closet—but wasn’t fast enough.

A tiny little wolf pup came skidding into my room, through the door we’d left very, very open.

SHIT.

“Hey, Ev,” I said, still rushing toward the door.

I was too slow.

Lizzy, Elliot, and a few of the other couples stopped outside the doorway of my room.

And I was still abso-damned-lutely naked.

There was a fierce roar behind me, and I didn’t have to turn around to know that Dax’s wolf had already forced his way out. We had a minute—two at most—before the wolf finished shifting and charged the door for blood.

“We’re fine,” I told Lizzy, my voice frantic. “Shut the door. We had sex, and it fixed my janked wolf. Hurry—grab Evan!” I caught the little furball and hauled ass with him to the door—where all the other werewolf men had already been ushered away, their backs turned.

The door slammed shut as soon as Ev was back in his mama’s arms, and a huge gray wolf barreled face-first into the damn thing only seconds after it closed.
