His emerald eyes burned into mine. “Anything you want.” He gave my core one last kiss before climbing my body. My legs wrapped around his hips as the heavy weight of him met my entrance, and I tugged him closer.
“You love me,” he murmured.
“I do,” I whispered back, using my legs to ease him closer. The head of him slid inside me so, so slowly, and we groaned together.
Zed captured my lips, his kiss brutal and hot as he slid the rest of the way into me. I clenched around him, my body demanding more of him.
“It’s been too long,” he growled at me, his teeth scraping my ear and throat.
“We’re having sex all damn night, Zed,” I breathed. “That’s why you’re ditching work. So don’t hold back; show me exactly how you feel for me.”
His lips recaptured mine, and he thrust hard and fast, his fingers finding my clit as his cock slammed into me.
The combination of the way he touched me and moved inside me finally sent me over the edge. I screamed as I shattered around him, pleasure rolling from my head all the way to my damn toes as he snarled and lost it too.
We came together, and as we crashed to the couch, breathing hard, I couldn’t help but think about how damn glad I was that his wolf hadn’t stopped chasing me.
We were up mostof the night, talking about where we’d travel to, cooking, eating, and making love, and Stewart’s words didn’t cross my mind for more than a passing second.
I didn’t think it was even the words themselves that had prevented me from having sex with Zed, but the fear. The fear that I wouldn’t be good enough, or that he’d change his mind, or… well, there were always a million things that could go wrong.
I’d focused on them before, but now, I was done with that.
Now, I was committing. Not to my fear, or to my pain, or to the supernatural connection between us.
To Zed.
Because I loved Zed, and he loved me. And whatever happened, we were a team, and we would make it work.
