Chapter Twelve
Grayson
I hold the ring out to Charlee as she gapes at me.
“What?!? Did you not hear I word that I just said?” She asks, looking at me like I might be crazy.
“Yeah, I heard you, baby, but it doesn’t matter.”
“Doesn’t matter? I was planning on robbing you!”
She sits up and the sheet pools around her waist as she runs her fingers through her hair roughly. I snag one of her hands before she can do any damage and bring it to my lips. I kiss her palm before I slip the ring on her finger. She jerks back but it’s too late and the ring is already in place. It looks perfect there on her hand and I admire it as the light hits it, making it twinkle.
“You said that you were planning on robbing me. Then, you fell in love with me and couldn’t do it. I love you too, baby. If you had asked me that first night, I would have just given you everything. It’s all yours, Charlee.”
“I’m a thief, Grayson. You deserve someone better. Someone honest.”
“You were a thief, Charlee. I don’t care what you did when you were younger. I’m not going to hold what you did to survive against you. I don’t want anyone else. I just want you. You’re perfect for me and I would say that you are honest. You didn’t have to tell me everything that you just did, but you did anyways. You’re honest, baby.”
“I wasn’t going to tell you. I was going to leave today, tonight when you were sleeping, I would just disappear.”
“I would have found you. I never would have stopped looking for you. Not until you were in my arms again.”
She stares at me and I can see her trying to wrap her head around everything. My girl is so used to having to be tough and strong that she never knows how to respond when I treat her soft and gentle. I want to spend the rest of my life protecting her, making sure she has everything that she needs, and making sure that she knows that I’m here for her. No matter what.
I grip her hands in mine and bring them up to my mouth, kissing the back of both of them. I look up and notice her staring at the ring on her finger.
“Looks nice, doesn’t it.”
She nods, still looking like she’s in a trance as she stares at the ring. Finally, her eyes come back and meet mine.
“I’m never going to change my mind about you, Charlee. Or about us. You make my life brighter, better, just by being in it. I love you. I’ve loved you since the first night that I met you. There will never be anyone else for me. What do you say, Charlee? Will you marry me, baby?”
She stares at me with wide eyes and when they start to soften, I know that I’ve got her.
“Yes.” She says softly.
I’m on her a minute later, rolling her under me as our lips meet. I slip my tongue into her mouth as she opens under me. My fingers tangle in her hair as I line my cock up at her entrance and thrust into her. She’s warm and wet for me and she moans into my mouth as I start to thrust into her hard. She grips my hair, pulling it, as I pinch her nipples, rolling them between my fingers.
She gasps into my mouth as I hit that perfect spot inside her and I pull back to trail my lips down her throat. I take a nipple into my mouth as I continue to rock into her. Her hips are lifting to meet mine with each thrust and I can tell that we’re both close. Her hands trail down to my chest and we both look down at the shiny ring on her finger.
“I love you, Charlee.” I pant as I fuck into her hard.
“I love you too, Grayson.” She pants back.
I reach between us, rubbing her hard button and she goes off. Her nails curl into my chest as I bottom out inside of her and find my own release. I hold myself off of her as I slowly slide from her body. I look down to see my come trail out after me and just like that, I’m hard all over again. We’ve never used protection and the thought of Charlee round with our child fills my head.
“You should start planning the wedding soon.”
“Grayson, we just got engaged like two minutes ago.” She says, rolling her eyes at me.
“I just thought you would want to be married before the baby comes.” I say casually and I want to laugh as I watch her eyes snap open.
I love teasing her and I can’t wait to do it for the rest of my life.
