“Almost as much of a story as setting up a job interview?” I hazard to ask, not meaning it in a bad way. But I can see it wounds Michael a little. Having to do whatever he’s done to get me here. To get us to this point.

It’s well-intended scheming, sure. And I could think of a million more romantic ways to go about things. But if I’m honest with myself and him, I couldn’t care less how he planned to catch me.

I’m just glad he has and only hope I can keep up.

My head’s still spinning, and we sit in silence for a long while.

Michael’s eyes never leave mine as we each sense the need to finish what we’ve started before being interrupted.

“I meant what I said, Vanessa. About this being a forever thing,” he finally says in a deep tone, sending fresh goosebumps all over me.

I love it when he talks like this. Giving things the importance they deserve.

“I know,” I murmur. “I just…I mean. I guess there’s something you should know,” I tell him.

Wondering where the hell this came from. It’s not something I’ve said out loud, let alone talked about to anyone else.

Not even Jase. Not even my Dad.

“What is it?” Michael asks knowingly. His head shakes so slightly I almost miss it, but his eyes tell me I don’t have to say it if I don’t want to.

“I’ve never…I’ve never kissed anyone,” I tell him in a plain voice and with no shame or embarrassment required anymore.

Michael makes a low rumbling sound, shifting in his seat as he readies himself to move back over to me.

“And?” he asks firmly, keeping his tone deep and even as if it’s all he can do to contain himself.

“What else? Anything else I should know?” he asks, cocking his brow again. His lip curling into a hungry smile as he stands.

I gasp at his thick cock through his jeans, my head shaking with disbelief that it’s more magnificent than I remember.

And way better in real life than any fantasy.

“Say it,” he commands me. “Tell me.”

“I’m… I’m a virgin,” I finally stammer.

Feeling my thighs pressed together again, my whole body suddenly squirms in my seat, my juices slipping between my legs.

“A virgin…,” he echoes back to me. His voice dropping even lower. His huge hand strays to his throbbing bulge.

His eyes are half-closed for a moment as he licks his lips. Savoring the news as if this quivering slit of mine was already in his mouth.

“Michael,” I gasp, feeling something so strong between my legs, kind of like a mini-earthquake inside me.

Needing him to say or do something, and fast.

But I can tell he knows that this is his. He staked his claim on me the second we met.

And he’s more than happy to watch the pot steam a little. Even boil over before he has his first helping.

I wheeze his name again and hearing his lowest growl yet, I know what a wild animal’s prey feels like before it’s taken.

In seconds he reaches me and I’m suddenly in his arms.

He only pauses a second, looking deep into my eyes. Growling the one word I know he never wants me to forget. “Mine,” he says before I feel my whole body yield to his.

The heat and pressure from his mouth makes me moan softly.

My stupid long skirt is the only thing stopping me from wrapping my legs and body around as much of him as I’d like.

Feeling not just safe but wanted like never before once his tongue joins mine.

Hot and wet. Strong and firm.

He’s right again…we are a perfect fit.

Still kissing me, I feel his massive arms flex but not straining as he lifts me all the way up. As if I weigh nothing in his grip.

Moving me over toward his desk after clicking his office door locked, our mouths part, and I instantly crave him there again.

Needing him more than air right now.

Feeling like I need him more than life itself because he is my life now.

I haven’t just fallen for the boss’s Dad…I’m leaping off that cliff.

Knowing he’s there to catch me. Carry me off with him.

Forever.

“I’m gonna kiss you…fucking eat you where you need it, Vanessa Virgin,” he says with a firm but fair attitude.

Like he treats all his employees, but I know I’m the only one who’ll ever get a tongue lashing from him like the one I know he’s about to give me.

His arousal presses deep into my side as he sets me down, reminding me that although we’re a perfect fit, fitting that anywhere in me is gonna take some getting used to.

So slow but sure, firm but fair with his tongue first is just what the doctor ordered.

CHAPTER TEN

Michael

Feeling Vanessa in my arms, right where she belongs, is beyond anything I could have imagined. I make my way to my desk. Vowing aloud to her that I’m gonna do what I should’ve done a long time ago.
