Chapter 3

Abby

Ihave to admit, despitehow much I hate this room, the bed is like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. I had one of the best sleeps of my life last night.

Sitting up, the blankets slide down my body, stopping around my waist. I raise my arms above my head, groaning as I stretch out my muscles. There’s something about a good stretch that feels orgasmic.

The door bursts open. “Hey, Spawny.” My head snaps over to the intruder, my eyes widening as I look at a guy I haven’t met yet. His bright, blue eyes roam down my body, stopping at my chest. “Well, what a greeting. Looks like someone is happy to see me.”

Glancing down, I see that my nipples are hard, poking through my thin sleep top. Quickly, I cross my arms over my boobs, shooting him a glare.

“Who the fuck do you think you are barging into someone’s room without knocking?” I snap.

“Name’s Luke, and you sure do have a dirty mouth on you.” He gives me a wicked grin. “Wonder what else that mouth can do?” His eyes light up as he licks his lips.

“Get out!” I shout.

He rolls his eyes. “Don’t get your panties in a twist. Thereisa reason I came up here, after all. Getting a free peep show was just a bonus.”

I’m trying really hard not to set this fucker on fire. Because if I wanted to, I could... with just a willing thought. Perks of being a demon I don’t like to use. “And that would be what?”

“Oh, right. The delivery man just dropped off a crap ton of stuff at our front gate. I’m assuming it's yours?” he asks, raising a brow.

Well, I guess the site was right about their speedy delivery. It hasn’t even been twenty-four hours yet.

“Thanks,” I force out. “Now, please leave so I can get dressed.”

“I don’t mind.” He smirks, crossing his arms as he leans against the door frame.

“Pervert,” I growl, and with a flick of my wrist I slam the door in his pretty face.

“Don’t have to be so rude, Spawny. Not gonna make many friends with that attitude,” Luke calls out from the other side of the door. Lovely, a new nickname, just what I wanted.

I can already tell this living-with-three-guys situation is going to be a pain in my ass.I could have sworn I locked that damn door before I went to sleep.

Getting out of bed, I grab a pair of clean workout shorts, sports bra, and tank top. One of the things I’m most excited for is being able to go for a real jog. It's too dangerous to go outside the castle, and with all the twists and turns, it makes it hard to do my workouts on the castle grounds. Not to mention it's literally hot as Hell all the time. So, I would work out in the air conditioned gym we had. It’s not fun running on a treadmill all day.

Once I get my packages up to my room, I’m going to work out. I want to explore this whole island by the time I have to go home for good.

I lock the door from the outside, using my powers. I’ll need to get it changed so I can use an actual key, but this works for now.

Descending the stairs, I see what Luke was talking about. Piled up by the front door in the foyer are boxes upon boxes. I let out a little squeal of excitement as I race over to them. I’ve never had the chance to do very much with my room. With the walls being stone back home, my decorative design was limited. But seeing that the guys got to pimp out their spaces, I have every intention of going wild on mine. If I'm going to be living here for the next three years, I’m gonna make it my own.

With my finger on my chin, I look over the boxes, wondering how the Hell I’m going to get all of them upstairs. The idea of making multiple trips up and down the steps sounds like a workout on its own, and I’d really like to take that jog today.

Biting my lip, a thought pops into my head. I could use my powers. It would be quick and easy, but I try to use them as little as possible, because everything other than my ability to heal and fly, all come from my demon side. And as much as I love my dad, I don’t like being part demon.

Glancing around to make sure no one is looking, I hold out my hands. The tingling feeling of my powers makes its way to my fingertips, and I get a rush of energy like always. The boxes all lift off the ground, and I guide them up the stairs, following behind.

Opening the door, I place everything on my bed before leaving the room and locking it up again. This time, I give the handle a try to ensure that it’s locked. Turning around, I find Mary coming out of one of the rooms.

“Oh, Mary, good morning.” I give her a bright smile.

She gives me one in return. “Good morning, Abby. Did you sleep well?”

“Like an angel.” I wink, making her laugh.

“Wonderful.”
