“She doesn’t want our help,” Cole adds. Then, he turns to me. “But she does want your blood. This confrontation solidified that.”
“She does.”
“This is insane,” Rainey moves around the room. “She killed them with what, the raise of her hands?”
I nod. “I’ve seen her do it once before.”
“This is bad,” she says, turning to Delaney. “We can’t have someone like this walking around Billings.”
“She’s even more powerful than Lucy ever was,” Delaney says softly, tears glistening in the corners of her eyes. “What the hell happened to her?”
“This is all my fault,” Elijah says. “She never should have healed me.”
“Shut your fucking mouth,” Rainey snaps. “If she hadn’t, you’d be dead. This is her fault for being a stubborn bitch.”
Her words lack heat, though I know, without a doubt, the youngest Astor wouldn’t hesitate to put Bronywyn down if the time came. Hell, she’s probably the only one of us who wouldn’t hesitate.
I turn in a slow circle, studying the damage. She could kill every single one of us in this room without breaking a sweat, and that’s a problem. She’s deadly and unpredictable, which is why she must be stopped.
One way or another.
