Even Maggie looks like she’s enjoying herself. I catch a glimpse of her with Jacob, letting him have one dance, and I raise an eyebrow at her across the dance floor. She shakes her head fiercely, but then he makes her laugh, and I can’t help but smirk.
When the night is finally coming to a close, I find Connor, who pulls me into his arms. “I have a surprise for you,” I tell him. “Now that you’re finally healed. But I’ll have to go home and change first.”
“A surprise?” Connor raises an eyebrow, and I grin.
“You’re going to love it,” I promise, going up on my tiptoes to kiss him. He tastes like whiskey mixed with my champagne, and I can’t help but let out a small moan as he nips my lower lip, eagerness for the rest of the night rising up sharply in me.
I tangle my fingers through his, pulling him towards the entrance of the library hall. “Come on. I’ve had enough partying. Let’s go enjoy the rest ofournight.”
“Your wish is my command,” Connor says teasingly, and he follows me out, all the way back to the waiting car.

CONNOR
Ihonestly have no idea what Saoirse could have up her sleeve. I follow her out to the car, where she keeps my hand clasped in hers, the two of us kissing leisurely in the back of the car all the way to the estate. When we get out, I turn towards the steps leading up to the house—and stop in my tracks.
There, a few yards from me is my motorcycle.
“Isthisthe surprise?” I ask, turning towards Saoirse, and she grins.
“Part of it,” she tells me. “It finally got here a few days ago, and I kept it a secret. I wanted you to be surprised with it tonight. There’s more—but I have to go up and change.” She leans in to kiss me, but I’m already reaching for her waist, pulling her hard against me as I kiss her fiercely.
I’d missed my bike terribly. I hadn’t even realized how much, with everything else going on, until right this minute when I saw it again. The fact that Saoirse understands how much it means to me, how happy I’d be to have it back, makes me love her all the more.
“Should I change, too?” I ask her, and she shrugs.
“Be my guest,” she says with a grin. “Whatever you want to ride in.”
It’s almost impossible to keep my hands off of her as we go up to our suite, but Saoirse keeps batting me away, as if she knows that all it would take is one kiss for me to have her on the stairs or up against the wall, or better yet—in our bed. She disappears into the bathroom, and it’s all I can do not to go in after her and undress her myself.
I change into black jeans and a grey t-shirt, throwing my leather jacket over it and running a hand through my hair, slipping my feet into my familiar motorcycle boots. “Wait for me down there!” Saoirse calls out, and though I want more than anything to peek into the bathroom and catch a glimpse of her naked, I don’t want to ruin whatever she’s plotting. So I go down to where my bike is waiting, running my hand lovingly over the bars and seat as I wait for my wife.
When I hear the click of her heels on the steps, I turn around, and my jaw nearly drops.
She’s wearing the leather dress that I gave her to wear to the sex club in London on a dare, along with the thigh-high leather boots—and the black collar with the rose-gold hardware that I’d given her as well that she’d refused to wear. She’s taken her hair down, letting it spill in dark red waves over her shoulders and around her face. Just the sight of her is enough to make me harden instantly, my cock straining as I resist the urge to cross the space between us and fuck her right there on the steps, regardless of who might see.
“Where are we going?” I ask her hoarsely as she walks up to me, and she holds out her hand, palm up, opening it.
Lying there in the middle of her palm is the key to the room I’d reserved at the sex club.
My stomach tightens instantly, remembering that night, the woman I’d taken up there, and the fact that I’d reserved it for fucking other women in the future. This is a trap,I think instantly, tensing myself for a fight, for the collapse of everything Saoirse and I have built together since that night. “Look,” I say tightly. “I can explain—”
“There’s no need,” Saoirse says softly, and I look at her, startled.
“What? You’re not angry?”
“No.” She swallows hard, shaking her head. “I found it in your pants that night you came home when I was in the living room. I know it’s probably where you had that strange woman that night, and I can’t pretend that I don’t hate that, but it’s in the past. You’re mine now, and I’m yours, and I’ve put my trust in you to be faithful to me, just as you’ve done as well. I know you probably reserved that room to be with other women after our bargain was done, and I hate that too—but everything is different now. We had a different arrangement once upon a time, but not anymore. That room should be ours now, and I want to go there with you, together. A fresh start—and a full circle from that first night in London.” She smiles at me softly. “I want a future with you, Connor. I want everything. And we’re both going to live out our fantasies tonight.”
She hands me the key, and I’m overwhelmed with how much I feel for her. “I fucking love you, Saoirse McGregor,” I tell her, pulling her close as I lean down and kiss her, fierce and hot. “You never stop surprising me. And honestly? I hope you always do.”
“I’ll certainly try. And I love you too, Connor McGregor.” She gives me a cheeky grin.
“Now, are you going to hand me a helmet? We’ve got a sex club to go to.”
I don’t have to be asked twice. I’m struck by how different she is now, getting on the motorcycle confidently behind me, her arms wrapped around my waist as she steadies herself on the bike. I remember her being nervous about it the first time, clinging to me, but tonight she stays close to me for a different reason—out of desire, not fear.
I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
