“Yes!” he cried. “Yes, I did it. I waited four whole years, but I did it.”

I stared down at him, waiting once more for repulsion and disgust to hit me. Nothing.

My sweet, adorable assassin.

I thrust into him, and Cosmo cried out. “Yes,” he hissed. “Do it now, Daddy.”

I crushed his face to my chest and snapped my hips faster, pounding his hips into the sofa just as he begged me to. Holding his slender legs in my hands, I lifted him, raised his ass off the sofa altogether, and sent his ass crashing into my pelvis.

Oh, fuck. If I wasn’t meant to fall at his feet, it wouldn’t have felt so good to be inside him. Hearing his cries, his pants, and the way he opened himself up even more and encouraged me to take everything I wanted, I could understand how wars could be started all for love. I was the one-man army, ready to confront anyone who dared to interfere with our love.

Cosmo palmed his dick and stroked fast. He was so close. I just needed him to find our happy place first. Then I’d be right behind him. His eyes rolled back into his head, and his back curved, his head pushing into the sofa. I held his hips in the air and pistoned into him, pegging the spot that sent shivers through his body.

Fuck, watching him fly was beautiful. He was beautiful. I cried out hoarsely, coming hard, pulsing my release into his body.

Cosmo fell to the sofa, his chest rising and falling hard. I rubbed his bottom lip with my thumb.

“You’re adorable, you know that?”

He smiled and caught my thumb in his mouth, then released it. “So you’ve said.”

“But do you believe me?”

“I believe everything you tell me.” He ran his hands up to my chest, then raked his nails down to the point he broke skin and blood dotted my body. I no longer cared when he drew blood. He never went too far. “Tell me it doesn’t matter that I killed Governor Roffe. That you love me anyway.”

Groaning, I pressed my nose to his. “It doesn’t matter who you kill. I’ll love you anyway.” I kissed him, biting into his bottom lip and drawing blood the way he’d done me. He winced, and his tongue lashed out to soothe the small puncture. I coaxed that tongue into my mouth, then let go. I stared down at him. “The son of a bitch had it coming.”

Cosmo giggled. “Want to give me a bath? I can tell you all about how I planned it to the execution.”

“Sure.” I turned the television off and lifted him in my arms with his limbs all around me. “But this is it, right? There’s no one else you need to avenge? No more killing.”

“This was the last one,” he said next to my ear.

I wasn’t sure I believed him. Not like it mattered anyway.
