Becca took a deep breath.

“Krissy,” she said, pointing at the window. “I may not be the most tech-savvy person on the planet, but fortunately, windows are remarkably low-tech devices. I point my eyes at the window…” Becca demonstrated by turning her head towards the window. “…I look out the window and see what’s beyond it.” She returned her eyes back to Krissy. “Satisfied? I have now looked for my Jeep!”

“Has anyone ever told you that you actually have a talent for sarcasm?” Krissy asked.

“Aargh!” Becca bellowed. “This is wasting time!” She started heading towards the bedroom, where her phone was. “Every moment I spend teaching you about how windows work is a moment my Jeep gets closer to Mexico! I need to call the cops!”

“Wait!” Krissy cried out.

Despite her urgent mission to get on the phone with the police, Becca stopped and turned around.

Krissy crooked her finger.

“Come here,” she commanded.

Becca sighed.

“Krissy, I don’t have time—”

“Would you just get over here?” Krissy replied.

Becca huffed out a breath through her nostrils, like a dragon, and then stomped over to Krissy. One of two things were going to happen today: either she was going to break up with this nutcase or she was going to withhold sex for a month.

“What?” she demanded through clenched teeth.

Krissy took her hand and started leading her out of the living room, back into the kitchen, through another door and into the laundry room. In the laundry room was yet another door, the one leading to the garage. Krissy opened it and practically dragged Becca through it, turning on the light as she did so.

Becca gasped.

There was her Jeep!

“What the hell?” Becca said, approaching the vehicle and then reaching out to touch it as if to be certain it was real. Relief was flooding through her. She turned to look at Krissy. “What…?”

“I moved it in here this morning while you were sleeping,” Krissy said, coming to stand in front of her.

Becca blinked, confused, not at all understanding.

“Why?” she asked.

Krissy looped her arms around Becca’s neck.

“Because it belongs here,” Krissy answered. “In the garage.”

“Wait…what are you…?”

“Babe, what are we going to do?” Krissy asked, cocking an eyebrow. “Are we going to spend another four years dating before finally acknowledging that we are the only ones in the universe right for each other? Even before you became my girlfriend girlfriend, I loved going to bed with you, I loved waking up next to you and I just loved sharing space with you.”

Becca gasped. This was really happening.

“Oh my god,” she said. “I feel exactly the same way!”

“Yeah?”

Becca nodded.

“Yeah,” she said. “I definitely want to live with you!”

Suddenly, Krissy’s lips were on hers and they were sealing the deal with a deep kiss, Becca pulling Krissy tighter against her, never wanting to let her go.
