“Another fantasy of mine,” Becca said.

“Wait, what?”

“Eating you out while you’re on a Zoom call,” Becca explained. “You can thank Covid for that one. Ever since you switched to working from home, I’ve daydreamed about doing that.”

“Oh my god, baby!” Krissy exclaimed. “Can you get over here in two minutes?”

Becca laughed.

“Sorry. As acting deputy chief of the Carlsbad Fire Department, it just would not do for me to get pulled over for speeding. I’ll see you this evening.”

Oh Jesus fucking Christ!

“Nice job shopping, babe!” Krissy said, standing in Becca’s doorway and admiring her girlfriend. Becca was wearing a cream-colored beaded cocktail dress, the beads arranged in an art deco pattern that was simultaneously retro, yet modern. The dress was short enough to display her impossibly long legs, and fit her like a glove.

Becca did a quick turn in her high heels, providing Krissy an all-angles look.

“Thank you,” she said. “You look amazing also.”

Krissy had pulled out one of her favorite cocktail dresses, one whose effectiveness came from its simplicity: a spaghetti-strap, navy blue number with absolutely zero embellishments. Its power came from its second-skin fit, and Krissy knew that on her figure, such a dress needed nothing else.

Earlier, as Krissy had been shimmying her body into the dress, she had realized that, amazingly, Becca had never seen her wearing this particular item. Now, she got to enjoy the feeling of seeing Becca’s eyes roam over her figure, obviously entranced.

In Krissy’s car, Becca asked where they were having dinner. All Krissy had told her was that she needed to dress nicely.

“Jeune et Jolie,” Krissy answered.

“Wow!” Becca responded. “Nice pick. Was it hard to get a reservation on short notice?”

“Nah,” Krissy said, pulling away from Becca’s house. “I just used your name.”

“Wait…seriously?”

Krissy nodded.

“I told them I worked for Lesbian Wonder Woman and that you demanded a table.”

Becca laughed.

“Oh my god, I’m going to spank you!”

Krissy took her eyes off the road just long enough to wink at her passenger.

“Such a threat is only going to make me be even more of a smartass, you realize that, right?”

“I’ll make note of that,” Becca said.

The drive was quick, ridiculously so. If they both hadn’t been wearing stiletto heels they could have walked, Krissy considered.

“Geez, we could have walked,” Becca said as Krissy pulled into the restaurant’s parking lot and approached the valet station.

“Just what I was thinking!” Krissy exclaimed. “Of course, if we were different lesbians, we could have. The butches have much more practical footwear.”

“Mm,” Becca agreed. “But what someone needs to do is invent a woman’s shoe that converts from a flat to heels.”

“Ooh, like snap-on heels? Love it!”
