Against her conscious desire not to fall for Rhiannon, every sliver of new information was another nail in her co n. Taking a sip of juice, Carmela tried to recall why getting involved with her was a bad idea. After owning the fact that her fear of getting hurt again was the only real

obstacle, she realized it was already too late to avoid hurt feelings. It had been too late since their first kiss. Maybe even earlier than that.

“You’re going to have to stop doing this,” Rhiannon said as she appeared in the doorway, her hair disheveled and her general demeanor groggy. “Or I’m going to start taking it personally that you just don’t want to wake up with me.”

Wearing nothing but a t-shirt, worn inside out and barely covering her butt, Rhiannon yawned as she shu ed toward Carmela and snagged her juice before chugging it. When she returned the glass empty, Carmela couldn’t help but laugh.

“We woke up together yesterday. Or have you already forgotten?” Carmela smirked as Rhiannon straddled her lap.

A favorite position apparently.

“Good morning to you too,” she replied, her lips sweet and citrusy as they pressed against Carmela’s unprepared mouth.

Carmela indulged in the sensation of Rhiannon’s arms around her neck before resting her hands on Rhiannon’s exposed thighs. The kiss that had started sweet, deepened quickly. Slipping her hands under the loose fabric of Rhiannon’s shirt, she ran her open palms over her smooth, bare back and groaned.

“We should go inside,” Carmela whispered as an increasingly addictive ache spread from her lower belly down like dripping honey.

Rhiannon’s grin was wry and threaded with filthy promises. “Why?”

Lost in the warm tongue advancing into her mouth like a communist spy, Carmela forgot the reason for anything as she gripped Rhiannon’s gently rocking hips. A voice in the distance reminded her they were outside and the hedge provided barely any cover for what they were doing.

“Because we’re outside,” she half moaned half whined as Rhiannon kissed her way from her chin, down her throat, and over her collar bone.

Rhiannon’s response was a light bite to the base of her neck before grinding against her with a little more purpose.

The contact made Carmela clench and dig her nails into Rhiannon’s flesh to keep from screaming.

“Well then, I guess you’ll have to be quiet,” she warned, her voice husky and dripping with the same sultry tone that had said exceedingly dirty things to her the night before.

Before Carmela could regain her wits, Rhiannon pulled at the knot holding Carmela’s robe closed and loosened it. The danger of getting caught sent Carmela’s heart racing. She rushed to stop her from opening it completely.

Rhiannon wiggled her hand out of Carmela’s grasp.

“Relax. No one will see us unless they peer over the hedge, and it’s still early. There aren’t that many people walking around yet.” As she spoke, Rhiannon ran her cool hand over Carmela’s warming chest.

With an open mouth, but no words, Carmela closed her eyes as Rhiannon cupped her breast and assaulted her sensitive neck. This time, it was Carmela guiding the increasingly quick rhythm of Rhiannon’s hips against her pelvic bone.

Claiming Rhiannon’s lips again and giving herself over to the moment, Carmela released one hand from Rhiannon’s side where she’d undoubtedly left a string of crescent-shaped bruises and snaked it between their pressed together bodies.

As soon as she felt Rhiannon’s slick heat against her fingertips, she cursed. Her weakness was blood in the water.

“I need you,” Rhiannon whispered against the shell of her ear before thrusting her hips forward as to relieve any

possible misunderstanding. “Please,” she added with a breathy moan.

The sound of her voice, wanton and desperate, was enough to obliterate Carmela’s risk aversion. Forcing her eyes open, she scanned the horizon. Over the top of the hedge, there were disembodied heads floating in the distance. They were far enough away in her hazy judgment.

When Carmela plunged inside of her suddenly and completely, Rhiannon’s gasped and threw her head back violently. The sight manifested in Carmela’s complete loss of control.

“Don’t stop,” Rhiannon groaned as her thighs trembled and she collapsed forward, pressing her lightly perspiring forehead against hers.

Carmela responded by taking her bottom lip between her teeth. Not just to kiss her, but to keep her quiet as she tightened around her fingers.

“More,” Rhiannon begged before bearing down and grinding against her fingers with mounting fervor.

Powerless to stop herself, Carmela slipped another finger inside. As she tightened around her, Rhiannon lost the ability to hold herself up and melted onto Carmela’s waiting shoulder. Without missing a beat, Carmela wrapped her free hand around Rhiannon and held her close as she moved with strong, purposeful thrusts.

Lost in the symphony of Rhiannon’s whimpers and hypnotized by her shuddering body, Carmela held on for dear life as Rhiannon crested a wave of pleasure, taking Carmela with her without so much as a touch.
