Quinn it obviously became clear that she could argue all day
and it would do zero good. Quinn would miss her flight either
way.
“Fine,” Danica said curtly. “But only because you’re
right. You do need to call Dallas.” She grabbed Quinn’s
suitcase and started to walk so fast that Quinn had to actually
run to catch up with her. As they were walking through the big
sliding doors to get back outside, Danica turned slightly. “I
really hope for both your sakes that you can reschedule that
flight.”
Chapter 25
Dallas
Dallas was so excited for Quinn’s flight that she’d been up
since Quinn probably was. The flight was a red eye and since
Dallas wasn’t able to sleep anyway, she’d got up, showered,
dressed, and had her coffee before five in the morning. She
was going to pick up her parents and be at the airport for
seven.
Dallas actually had butterflies in her stomach.
God, she missed Quinn. A month was way too long to go
without seeing her. it didn’t matter how many years they had
gone before. This was different. This was the present, and at
present, it was really hard to be without Quinn.
Dallas thought about Quinn pretty much all day. Not just in
a distracting sense. Sometimes it was, but most of the time, it
just felt nice to be able to think about her. She didn’t take the
pain she felt at being separated for granted. She knew how
lucky she was to be able to think about someone and ache to
be with them. She’d only ev
er had that with one person before,
