“You should have brought your laundry. You could
have done it here.”
“Oh. Uh- I never thought of that.”
Quinn stepped back and let Dallas come in. The
outsides of the condos might have been a little bit bland, but
the inside was amazing. Quinn’s place was all redone on the
inside. It was so modern that she’d either purchased it that way
from someone else or chosen everything herself. The flooring
was some industrial looking hand scraped wood. Dallas
recognized it, since she was kind of into looking at home
magazines whenever she stood in the lineup at the grocery
store. The walls were painted grey and decorated with tasteful,
modern art in bright colors. The condo was totally open on the
bottom and aside from the stairs that went to the second floor,
Dallas could see just about everything else. The furniture was
tasteful and elegant. There was a big area rug on the floor in
shades of black and white stripes and squares. The kitchen
cabinets were white and glossy. The island and counter tops
had white granite or quartz- Dallas wasn’t sure. A bright blue
backsplash added color to the kitchen.
“Wow. This is gorgeous.”
Quinn nodded. “I picked out almost everything. When
I got the place it wasn’t very nice inside. It had these scary
carpets that had seen all their better days long before. I don’t
know if the last family had kids, bu
t there were holes in the
walls all over the place. Not big holes. Just like kid sized
holes.” She laughed at that, obviously recalling the mysterious
missing parts of her walls. “It was a fixer upper, but Mom and
