“Take off your underwear.”

I hold his gaze for a minute before I shimmy the scrap of lace down and hold them out with a smirk.

Teddy tucks them into his pocket and unbuckles his belt. Unzips his pants. I watch his cock appear. Watch as he fists the engorged length, giving it a couple of strokes as he fishes a condom out of his pocket.

“Someone was optimistic.”

Teddy smirks. “Youshovedmein here, June.”

“And if I hadn’t? Would you be using that with someone else?”

I regret the question as soon as it’s out there. I sound jealous and needy. But worse, he’s completely entitled to have sex with whoever he wants. With Amelia. With anyone. It would probably be better if he did. It would be an important reminder.

Temporary.

“Sutton.” He reaches for me.

I step back. “I didn’t mean…” I shake my head. “That was stupid. Forget it.” I take the condom from him. Rip open the foil wrapper. Fist his erection, pinch the tip, and roll the latex on.

I part my legs and lean back against the counter, waiting for him to thrust inside me.

He does, easily gliding through the wetness that’s gathered between my legs. It’s not the slow slide from last night or the quick rut from earlier, but some mixture of the two, where I feel each inch before I’m filled.

I brace my hands against the cold stone counter, waiting for him to start moving. He doesn’t though, even when I purposefully tighten my inner muscles around him.

Teddy tilts my chin up, so we’re making direct eye contact. His are clear and unflinching. “You’re my personal eclipse, Sutton June Everett. I can’t see past you. Trust me, I’ve tried. Ican’t.”

“You’ve dated other girls,” I whisper.

“Yeah, I have. And I’m not with any of them. I’m withyou.”

The straps of my dress fall with a harsh yank, baring my breasts to the cool air. He palms one, and my body pulses with desperate need. Then, his hips start moving.

Anyone outside the door would know exactly what’s happening in here. I don’t muffle my moans of pleasure as he sets a punishing speed. His fingers press into my thighs, holding my legs apart and forcing me to meet every thrust. I can feel the tense strain in his muscles as he works my body, his scent surrounding me and his eyes searing into me.

Pressure builds and spreads, running through my body in hot bursts of pleasure. It’s obvious how much I’m enjoying this. I don’t worry about appearing too eager or desperate. I beg him for more, and he complies, hitting the spot that sets off fireworks.

I feel him swell and pulse inside of me, my release setting off his own.

We’re both . Rather than pull away, I seek him out, resting my forehead against his shoulder, soaking in his presence as my breathing deepens and evens. My limbs feel limp and loose, wrung out like a sponge. I’m not sure if I can stand yet.

After a few minutes of nothing but breaths, I tell him, “My dad called earlier.”

“Oh?” Teddy’s posture tenses, betraying his casual tone.

“He sold the farm.”

“Wow. That was fast.”

“Yeah. He and Lily got a condo in Chicago.” I take a deep breath. “My mom worked in real estate when we lived there—did I ever tell you that?”

“No.”

“My dad called one of her old colleagues about finding a new place in the city. And she…she gave him my mom’s phone number.” I pause. “He offered to send it to me.”

Teddy pulls back, so he can see my face. “June…”

I shake my head and force a smile. “It’s fine. I’m fine. It’s just been a fuckingday, you know?”
