“I need to get going so I can get ready for work. Thank you for breakfast. I’ll call you later.”

I smiled up at him like an idiot. One touch from him and my mind did flip flops. He leaned down and kissed me like he would miss being in my presence. Once again, he made me forget my mother was in the room. When he pulled away, he turned to my mom.

“Mrs. Baldwin, it was nice seeing you again. Simone, I’ll see you at the office.”

Neither of us could tear our eyes away from the gorgeous man as he sauntered to the front door and let himself out. As the door closed, I let out the breath that I had been holding since he kissed me. Fuck!

“Simone, it is not my place to say this, but, child, you are in for a wonderful life full of great sex with that one! He’s got what that child, Lizzo, calls Big Dick Energy! Yes, Lawd!”

How in the hell did my mama know about big dick energy? Shocked as shit, I turned to look at her before bursting into a hail of laughter. What in the actual fuck? My mom never, and I mean never, talked about sex in front of me. In fact, she had my dad give me ‘the talk’ when I was a teen. Somehow, seeing Nicolo in all his glory had loosened her up.

“Mama!”

“Don’t Mama me. I’m married, but I am not blind. That man is gorgeous. I couldn’t be happier for you. I was worried you’d be stuck with some little dick white man who couldn’t fuck. It’s obvious by the way you look at him, he knows his way around a pussy.”

My jaw dropped, as I stood there watching my mom wash dishes. It was like she was talking to a girlfriend instead of her daughter. I guess I was grown now, for sure. If my mom could talk to me so casually about fucking my man, we were friends. I think I am going to like our new relationship. Well, as long as she didn’t start talking about her and Daddy’s sex life, that is.

“So, that’s all you’ve got to say? You’re not going to chastise me for finding Nicolo here this morning?”

“Um, no I am not. You’re grown. Far be it from me to stand in your way of sampling the goods before you get tied down for life. Now, had that been someone other than your fiancé, I would have had something to say.”

“Mama, please don’t say anything to Daddy.”

“Do I have Boo Boo the Fool tattooed across my forehead? I love my man and want him to stay out of jail. He would kill that fine ass man of yours if he found out you aren’t a virgin.”

We looked at each other and burst into laughter. Apparently, my mom knew it was not my first rodeo ride. I was grateful that she wasn’t going to bring my father into this.

“Now that that is over, let’s try on that wedding gown, so I can see how beautiful you are going to be walking down the aisle on that Italian beach.”
