Treading into her living room again, Henry grabbed his clothes off the floor and quickly put them on. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and glanced back at Olivia’s bedroom. After their adventurous night, he didn’t want to force her awake just to tell her he was leaving.
It seemed kind of rude, especially since she clearly needed the rest from being upset earlier yesterday at the park.
He moved across her apartment silently, making his way over to her bed to gaze at her one last time. She lay with her hair spread out around her head like a fiery halo. Her pale skin was a beautiful contrast against it.
He rubbed his fingers at his sides, wanting desperately to touch her and caress her soft skin.
It made him sigh.
He’d come back later. Maybe with dinner or something once this stupid situation was resolved. He only hoped it didn’t take the entire day, or else he’d be pissed.
Henry leaned over Olivia’s bed to kiss her gently on the forehead. She let out another soft sigh, making his heart ache.
I’ll be back for you. Don’t you worry.
Straightening again, Henry headed out of her bedroom and over to her front door. He pulled out his phone again and quickly texted his broker that he’d been there in fifteen.
With one last sweeping look around Olivia’s apartment, Henry opened the door and stepped into the morning light.
All right. Let’s get this over with.
