“Nope. I’m all about the sausage now.”
His cheeks colored, his ears going pink as he gaped at me.
It was adorable.
“Ugh.” He buried his face in my chest. “Kill me now.”
“Nah. Not now that I kinda like you.”
“I kinda like you too.” He scrunched up his nose. “Even if you are freaking me out.”
“You’ll get used to it.”
“I hope so.” His soft words were muffled against my chest, but I heard them.
“Let’s get up.”
The longer we lay there, the more interested my dick became.
I’d woken up with some killer morning wood but had ignored it while Jules and I had talked.
He wasn’t hard, which wasn’t unexpected because he was still dealing with the trauma of last night. But the leg he had between mine wasn’t helping. Neither was how his hip kept rubbing against my junk every time he breathed or shifted.
I needed to get out of bed before I started humping him, which was the last thing he needed right now.
He sighed against my chest, then pushed up and rolled off me, sat up and got to his feet.
“Your bed is tiny,” I said.
“Yeah, some asshole called the big room, and I got stuck in this closet.” He grinned, taking the sting out of his words.
“Sounds like a real jerk.” I sat up.
Jules’s eyes traced down my chest.
I was wearing a pair of sleep pants and nothing else.
“Go jump in the shower, Jules. I’ll get dressed and bring us some food and coffee.”
“Okay.” He blushed and grabbed his shower caddy off the dresser.
I watched him leave, my mind spinning.
I had no idea what was happening, but I didn’t hate it.

JULES
What was going on?
Last night was still a bit spotty, but I remembered every detail of what Gavin had done to me in the bathroom.
I also remembered how Ash had burst in and broken that asshole’s nose. How he’d taken care of me after, hugging and comforting me and making sure I got home safe.
I vaguely recalled my nightmares, didn’t remember Ash climbing into bed with me at all, but I’d felt safe when I’d woken up with his big, warm body wrapped around me.
That feeling had lasted until the memories had come back in full force, but Ash had surprised me once again by comforting me, talking to me like I was an actual person, and getting us food.
