Chapter Three
Cara
The next morning, I woke up sore and tired. I blinked, trying to remember where I was for a long moment and then I groaned, remembering the embarrassing, shameful, and incredibly arousing events that happened to me only just yesterday. I could feel Bane behind me, his massive form curling around me and holding me safe against him. I wanted to hate him for everything he had done, but I couldn’t bring myself to. Even in his roughness, there was something about him, a certain gentleness that held me captive and didn’t want to let me go no matter what.
I sighed softly and his arm wound around my waist, pulling me back against him. My ass pressed against the hardness of his cock and I shifted my legs, feeling the dried wetness of his seed on my thighs. It was as though he marked me and there was something about it that left me feeling cared for.
I took stock of my body, feeling the soreness in my ass and my pussy. My bottom cheeks ached, feeling the results of his belt yesterday and my asshole felt tender, having been used so harshly afterward. My pussy felt sensitive and achy, but I felt more satisfied than I had ever felt in my life.
The rest of my body just felt like I’d run a marathon.
I turned my head, seeing sunlight peeking through the curtains of the single window in the bedroom. From what I could tell, it was early morning here on Dryac. Absentmindedly, I wondered when Bane would get to work.
He’d said he was going to train me today, introduce me to his work and take me under his wing so that I could continue to support my family. So that I could send money to them and ensure that they had enough to keep a roof over their head and food on the table.
I thought about my sisters, about my mother and I hoped they were doing alright, that the impoundment of my ship hadn’t caused them any problems from the Association.
“I can almost hear the smoke coming out of your ears,” Bane murmured, still clearly far sleepier than I was.
“It’s nothing,” I answered, and he grunted with disbelief, but didn’t press me further.
“Fuck, it’s early,” he complained, and I chuckled, amused.
“Not a morning person then?” I asked.
“Fuck, no,” he answered. Then he snapped his fingers and a portion of the wall slid open. A cylindrical robot rolled forward. It was a sort of cream color, the dingy kind where it may have once been white. There were markings of blue and gray on the side in some type of insignia, but I didn’t recognize the design or the brand.
A burst of steam exploded out the top of the robot and then a window in the center of it slid open, revealing a metal pot with a rubber-coated handle. Bane unraveled himself from my body and rolled over, reaching for the robot and the big pot.
“You can’t be serious,” I whispered, disbelieving the sight before my eyes. Two additional slots opened on the robot, with two giant mugs inside. Bane grabbed those two.
“Do you take it black?” he asked then and I moaned with excitement.
“Yes. I’ll take it, however,” I answered, too excited to care.
“Cream?” he pressed, and I nodded as he reached through another slot inside the robot. I watched, my mouth salivating as he poured coffee into the two mugs and spiked them with healthy doses of white creamy liquid.
Carefully, he handed me one and I sniffed the air, the smell of fresh ground coffee wafting toward me.
“I don’t remember the last cup of coffee I’ve had. It’s so hard to come by anymore out here,” I said. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” he answered, his voice still groggy. He pushed himself backward, leaning against the headboard and gently pulled me to him. My head and back lay against his chest and I sighed with contentment.
This felt right.
The two of us sipped our coffee in silence then. The warm brew slid down my throat, warming me from the inside out and I shuddered with delight at the feeling. It felt like a giant hug after all the hardship I’d been through.
Well, not all of it had been bad.
Bane had found me and maybe, just maybe I could find my own little slice of happiness here. Maybe whatever connections he had would keep me safe.
Maybe. A girl could hope, right?
Fat fucking chance. The Association was never going to let me go.
I sighed and took another sip of coffee.
Bane must have sensed my tenseness, because his hand started to pet me, drifting up and down my naked skin in a way that comforted me. I leaned into him.
