“It’s your cheerleading squad,” Marge chuckles.
“Okay,” I say, giving her a weird look.
I round the corner and see why she was chuckling.
All the guys from the gym are here.
“What are you all doing here?” I ask.
“We needed food. We’re growing boys,” Kingston smirks, “and I told you I’d feed him.”
“You are not a growing boy,” I roll my eyes.
“What do you recommend?” Holden asks me.
I meet his gaze and I see that he has beautiful blue eyes. Other than Kingston, he’s the cutest out of all of them. If I had met him first, well….
I shake my head of that thought. Not going to lie, Holden is hot, but I’m with King, I think. I drop his gaze and see Kingston frown. I’m all his, if he wants me. He doesn’t have to worry about Holden.
I haven’t dated in a long time. I barely lost my virginity right before I took off with Thorn. I said yes to Kingston, not because of his money, but how he treats me. And I’ve wanted to try at least, not that Thorn is older and doesn’t need me as much.
“Oh, ummm, the double cheeseburger is good. And the spaghetti,” I say.
“I’ll have a burger and corona,” Holden smiles as I collect his menu that he didn’t even look at and he licks his lips. I blush.
The rest give me their orders, even though Thorn doesn’t have to, he orders the same thing every time. I place them with Jerry, and I fill their drink orders and set them down, interrupting a conversation about Kingston’s last fight.
“I don’t know why you retired, King. You were the best, better than Lane,” Holden says as he takes a swig of the beer I just set down.
“Lane is good. I should know, I did train him. You all are,” Kingston replies, “Caleb, you’ll get your first fight soon.”
Caleb throws a fist in the air, “Fuck, yeah.”
“Shhhh,” I tsk and he sits back down.
“Sorry,” he smiles sheepishly. I’m listening in when I should be working, but I don’t have any other tables.
“Why did you stop fighting?” I ask Kingston.
“Just felt it was time,” he grins.
I go to say something but Jerry calls my order.
“I’ll be right back with your food. Enjoy,” I say, trying to be professional. That’s a joke. I’d rather sit next to Kingston and steal his fries. Isn’t that something a girlfriend would do?
Kingston
I didn’t want to talk about fighting in front of Briar given her take on it. She supports Thorn, and I respect that. I could punch Caleb right now, but I did answer him so I’m at fault as well.
She rushes off to go get our food and I feel like a dick. Even Thorn looks upset because his sister is.
“Man, your sister is hot,” Caleb whistles, while shaking his hand like it’s on fire.
“Thanks. I guess,” Thorn shrugs his shoulders.
“If you don’t want her, King, I’ll take her off your hands,” Caleb smirks in my direction.
“Dude, inappropriate. That’s Thorn’s sister,” Tristan hisses.
