“It’s okay. I get my fair share of jerks at the diner. I’m used to it,” I shake his hand as he grins at me.
“Let me give you a tour,” he says, nodding to the gym.
I follow behind, not paying much attention, just taking in the surroundings.
I study Kingston, like really study him: Tall and broad, muscle definition, huge arms, twinkling eyes, and sexy lips.
Yes, a great body, I’m sure, underneath all those clothes. He has to be fit to train other fighters.
I can see a couple of scars along his jawline, he must have been a fighter himself at one point.
His eyes sparkle as he talks to Thorn.
He has charisma and yeah, I’m attracted to him. Who wouldn’t be?
“Briar?”
“What? I’m sorry,” I snap back to reality.
Kingston laughs, “I was going to start your brother on some drills and was wondering if you want to stay and watch. Thorn says you have some concerns. We could talk a little bit, I can give you a rundown and address those concerns,” he says.
“I’d love to stay,” I smile shyly.
“Run the drills,” he hollers at another guy who nods and then he turns to me, turning on his megawatt smile.
“We can go across the street to the café and get a coffee while Thorn gets changed and taped up,” he gestures to the door.
“Sure, lead the way,” I smile back at him.
