Tristan puts in another order and within a short time span, snacks and drinks are being brought in.

Right behind the food, Kingston comes in drenched in sweat.

“Did you have a good time?” I ask him with a wink.

“We worked my ass off.” He turns to show me.

“It’s still there. Go shower and we can veg out for a bit before starting dinner,” I push him toward the shower.

“Be right back.” He takes off as does Holden and Caleb. I didn’t even realize Holden went with them.

“How was he?” Tristan asks Thorn.

“I think the gloves are fine. He’s not so sure. But he is in good form,” Thorn flops down on the couch.

“I think he will do just fine,” I say as I start to set plates out on the coffee table and let people pick. Tristan pours me a cup of tea and passes out beers and a soda for Thorn, who glares at me, but I’m not letting him get into the habit of drinking before he’s of age.

Kingston comes out freshly showered and takes a seat on the floor by my feet, filling his plate with food and digging in like a pig.

“Slow down,” I snicker.

“I’m hungry,” he replies. I’m sure he is since they worked out for almost an hour straight.

“Don’t forget that tomorrow after your weigh-in, we need to go get clothes for Remo,” I remind Kingston.

“Yeah, I packed extra for him but yeah, we can go after that. Aiden will be here in the morning for breakfast. We’ll go downstairs together, face the press and then we can go,” he says through a mouthful of celery sticks.

“Gross and okay,” I snort.

“We’re here.” We hear the door open and close and see that Viktor and Tana have joined us.

“Where are the kids?”

“With your mom. She brought the boys to our house so they could play with the girls. They’ll be here later. We thought we’d come early and talk,” Tana says, stealing a celery stick from her brother.

“Get your own,” he whines as we all laugh.

“I wanted yours,” she teases.

“I’ll grab some more beers. Tana, you want one?” Tristan goes to the cart where we left them when it was brought up. Probably should put them in the fridge.

“Thank you,” Tana and Viktor sit on the couch next to Remo.

“Before anyone says anything, I probably should have listened and got rid of Lane when shit first started back in the beginning,” Kingston says.

“Did he just say we were right?” Holden asks.

“He did,” Tana nods.

“We also should have seen the downward spiral of Embry as well,” Viktor says.

“I don’t think we wanted to think she was ever a hurtful person. She puts on such a good show. Kingston is older but I was in school with her and I should have said something. The way she treated people when backs were turned or she didn’t think mom would find out, I didn’t recognize that person,” Tana says sadly.

“I thought after school, things would change,” Remo adds.

“She acted like that out of jealousy?” Caleb asks.

“Yeah. We always wanted for nothing, but Kingston and I always knew we were going somewhere after school. She never mentioned a dream or college. But I guess she felt that bullying those girls and stealing from them made her feel like a big shot,” Tana said.
